"The Law IS the LAW. Break it, and you deserve to be fucked."

Tell that to Mr Fast and Furious Holder, who is shielded from testifying to Congress about running guns to the drug cartels in Mexico.
Or Obamba, who cherry-picks which part of ACA to implement, and when, so it won't interfere with the upcoming elections.

IF, the law is the law, none of the two incidents would have happened, but they did.

How messed up this country is, on one hand you have Colorado smoking weed like candy on one side of spectrum, on other hand Missouri puts this dude in prison for life with no parole.

We are a nation of extremist...on both sides of the political spectrum.

Meanwhile, violent criminals are routinely released to commit murder:

[link to www.wwaytv3.com]

Court records show that Pierce was out on bond on multiple cases in Columbus County, including assault with a deadly weapon and two counts of trafficking in opium and heroin. Johnson was out on bond from Forsyth County, where he was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor larceny.

A mother was found beaten to death by her young children because those two were out.

I'd bet a million dollars you could find a case in that same town where some lowlife pedophile got a slap on the wrist sentence and sent back out into society.

This is insanity.

What immediately comes to mind is the punk kid who killed 4 people while drunk driving, and only got 10 years probation... because of "affluenza".

This dude gets life without parole for weed? Makes perfect sense.

He deserves his time. He was a P.O.S. meth head who dealt weed. He was busted buying 7 lbs of marijuana. His lawyer even calls him a mid level dealer. Another point that his lawyer admits to is that he was given 4 strikes NOT 3. He could have been locked away after his third offense but was given yet another chance and blew that.

I believe that marijuana should be legalized but how many chances is enough??? Call me nuts but after being given a get out free card after the third bust I would have never been in a situation where I could be busted buying 7 pounds.

I say let him rot. Not because of the weed but because he's just another waste of oxygen meth head who is too stupid to know a blessing when he receives one.

Also, as a dealer how do we know he isn't responsible for any other deaths by someone driving while high on weed that he sold?

All good points, but our justice system doesn't operate on "What ifs". What if you snap later in life and become a child-mo? Should we arrest you now just in case?

I think with all the chances he was given, 15 years would have been fair.

This reminds me of when I got busted with a pipe in my car in canvas washington and the cop takes it, doesn't give me a ticket, so I ask for it back and he says, "and if it was a big bag of kiddy porn would you want that back to?" So when I read your comment I thought what does child molestation have to do with marijuana. I don't see relativity of bringing that into the mix.

OK, I'll give you that. Perhaps life without parole is a bit too much but how many chances should a person get? Should I be allowed to drive drunk as many times as possible as long as I don't hit anyone?

I think this man got screwed big time BUT like my parents would tell me you made your bed, now you gotta lie in it.

Obviously 3 slaps on the wrist didn't teach him anything. Did they overdo it on the 4th strike? Yes, but only because he allowed himself to get that 4th strike. Possibly because he figured he'd just get another slap on the wrist.

Now... For everyone saying its BS and people that agree with his sentence are like nazis because its a dumb law etc. etc. etc.
How do you feel about illegal immigrants?? For the most part its a victimless crime so should we allow them to cross over and allow them amnesty? Fuck no!!! They broke the law and need to be sent back.
Actions have consequences.
