NSA statement does not deny 'spying' on members of Congress | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 38074907 United States 01/04/2014 06:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Everytime I hear about the spying I imagine the information that could be used to manipulate the market - the insider trading that could (or likely does) happen. It is an insecure feeling on many many levels. But like protecting themselves from Obamacare , the Congress will most likely pass a law that forbids the NSA from spying on Congress and those designated by Congress (corporate buddies), the Justice Department, and of course, the POTUS - the rest of us sheep will just have to deal with no privacy - no privacy in public or in private. |

You should be thankful for that. I'm sure glad those cameras in uk stop all the crime asswipe You dumbass. Ofcourse not EVERY crime can be stopped. Some will eventually slip through the net. But MOST attacks do get stopped before they happen but you never hear about them because THEY'RE CLASSIFIED. Wait 50 years or so and they'll declassify them. |

BattlesightZero User ID: 52252911 United States 01/04/2014 06:56 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to www.theguardian.com] The National Security Agency on Saturday released a statement in answer to questions from a senator about whether it “has spied, or is … currently spying, on members of Congress or other American elected officials”, in which it did not deny collecting communications from legislators of the US Congress to whom it says it is accountable. Quoting: Uncle Fuck Stick In a letter dated 3 January, Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont defined “spying” as “gathering metadata on calls made from official or personal phones, content from websites visited or emails sent, or collecting any other data from a third party not made available to the general public in the regular course of business”. The agency has been at the centre of political controversy since a former contractor, Edward Snowden, released thousands of documen More at link When men who work in secret are "above the law", then there is no law, at all. WE HAVE BEEN WARNED BattlesightZero YOU, and only YOU are responsible for maintaining the balance of power between you and the rest of the semi-sentient beings in this world. You cannot disclaim or delegate that responsibility; it is a function of being a living, breathing "adult" in this world. If you can't manage yourself on those terms, someone else *will* manage you on their terms. Your terms are irrelevant. Buy a rifle; prepare to defend yourself. If you don't, what happens is *your* fault. Period. |

You should be thankful for that. Name one. You people are truly thick as a fuck stick frozen in solid ice if you don't see the point here. Who would even care about thwarted terrorist attacks that killed no one? Millions of tiny earthquakes happen every year but only big ones that do damage get reported. The media only ever reports on attacks that slip past the net coz people want to see tragedy because it brings them closer together, and that kinda shit. |

No electronic communications what so ever! The administration snooped on Romney and considering that the current consensus is that the Democrats will have their asses handed to them in November, they will do it again. Who's going to stop them? Boehner? Quoting: Uninterested3rdParty It's going to take "we the people" to stop it. But it will not be pretty. Every bit of information the NSA has acquired will be used as ammunition. I ran across this the other day... Thread: NSA - 3rd Amendment Violation |
