I just don't buy the "oh-so-classy Jackie O" meme that has become a dogma - everybody repeats it mindlessly and you mustn't doubt it.

Effectively, what she's done is she pretended (lied) to the whole world that everything was peachy in her marriage, while her husband jumped anything resembling a female with a pulse right under her nose.

She was sending the wrong message IMO, that you have to be keeping up the appearances for the sake of maintaining a good name not to mention all the wealth and other perks of being the first lady. Incidentally, she became a national heroine meanwhile, but who knows how long their marriage would have lasted if they'd let Kennedy live. So then, when it was OK PR-wise, she moved on to another rich guy.

You lot complain so much about how American women act like entitled princesses and care only about making it nice for themselves, but there you are, idolizing the ultimate American woman, Jackie O, who was not in a slightest way better than some bored suburban housewife quietly suffering through her husband's serial infidelity and at the same time cunningly planning for a divorce to relieve him of the better half of his wealth if not everything.

That's not classy, that's a woman being self-interested and a man that's cheating. Classy would be if both partners immediately laid their cards on the table, regardless of the PR consequences, divided their belongings fair and square and moved on.

And also, Kennedy as one of your most popular presidents was a proponent of laxer policy regarding the Soviet block. Many hated his policies, many held him for a commie lover (remind you of anyone?).

It's only the assassination that's granted the Kennedys a saintly glow. It's 2014, almost 60 years after, it's just about time you let go of this national fairy tale of a good wise king and a beautiful queen.

I was bored one night, watched every video I could find of these 2 and looked at all images I could find (she's not a dude people). Watched interviews. I could not find one single one where she kisses him. There are many where he kisses her but she never returns them. If fact, she even turns her head so he hits her cheek or nose in a couple. I'm not making this up. I finished this search feeling that it is completely a marriage of convenience. Then his behavior at Mandela's funeral happened and now I'm not as sure. Michelle was clearly pissed.

I have actually seen/met some real in person trannies in a small town I used to live in. They were not professional ones. I was amazed at the transformation. A normal eye would not have been able to tell it was a man unless one was told, as I was. In fact, that was the reason they wanted me to go see that show because I would not believe it. Yes.
