"Most Awesome Sunspot Ever," Turns Toward Earth
GIANT SUNSPOT TURNS TOWARD EARTH:  One of the largest sunspots in years, AR1944, is turning toward Earth. The active region contains dozens of dark cores, the largest of which is big enough to swallow three planet Earths. It's so big, sky watchers are noticing it as a blemish on the solar disk at sunset:

"AR1944 has to be the most awesome sunspot ever," says Sergio Castillo of Inglewood, CA. "I cannot stop photographing it." Here is his latest image from Jan. 5th:

Well the sun has been slow for awhile, perhaps some good old solar doom is in order...

If this blows, it could give the US people the rest who are currently affected by the cold
"The world will soon wake up to the reality that everyone is broke and can collect nothing from the bankrupt, who are owed unlimited amounts by the insolvent, who are attempting to make late payments on a bank holiday in the wrong country, with an unacceptable currency, against defaulted collateral, of which nobody is sure who holds title."

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

I don't get overly jumpy about the sun but that is one monster sunspot. It has experts calling it the most crazy one they have ever seen.

Furthermore, it is now lining up and pointing at us, so if it goes off... Well it could become very interesting.

It will blow!

Then the power grid of the US will collapse and 50% of the population will freeze to death!

It is now written on GLP, so it is true.

If it really shoots out a big CME like in 1989 paired with that storm, it will be really bad!

"In March 1989, a powerful solar flare set off a major March 13 power blackout in Canada that left six million people without electricity for nine hours.
According to NASA, the flare disrupted electric power transmission from the Hydro Québec generating station and even melted some power transformers in New Jersey. This solar flare was nowhere near the same scale as the Carrington event, NASA scientists said."

Here are the worst solar storms in history:

Yes, as evidenced by those who chose the motto for Sochi Zeus Olympics

Hot. Cold. Yours.

"Cold Green Bay may cool Hot 49ers"
Michelle left in Hawaii basking in the sun whilst her husband and children go to the 'polar vortex'
"Significant heat wave" down south vs. "Polar Vortex " up north

It's their theme, they will see it transpire.

Yeah not good at all, the thing is so huge that people are photographing it with just normal k filters on their cameras and not needing a solar telescope. The biggest part is the size of 3 earths.

Here in Costa Rica for the last couple of days it has been raining and overcast. This is the summer and dry season season and rarely rains. In Oct which is usually our wettest month of the year it was dry and sunny.

Weather is different that is for sure.
