The reason the government spends that money is basically buying votes. I don't think poor people should be killed, but we shouldn't spend soo much on these welfare programs. The poverty level is the same now as it was back when they started these programs. The war on poverty is a farce.

If the poverty level remains the same, maybe even higher today, why to they continue? To buy votes.

Churches and charities can do far more, with far less than the government ever could/would.

Some people do role play, but I do understand how people such as yourself, of average intelligence, would think that a genius is crazy...you just don't have the ability to see, it's not your fault.

If you start killing the poor then whats to stop them going after other people aswell? Who gets to choose the people that are allowed to live and what stupid criteria would they have? I agree to an extent. There will always be those who choose not to work, and find someone or something to support them. But I agree welfare programs do keep some from looking for work.
