There should be no such thing as needing a "permit" to carry a gun, but I suppose this jackass is slithering ever so slowly in the right direction. |

He is originally from here, and can clearly see what has happened since he left...something like twenty-five years ago. I applaud his stance on this...in every way. It is important for those who actually follow the law to have a leader encouraging without doublespeak. Sincerely, John Detroit |

After you are injured or dead ... well they will show up, take a few photographs, and then then most likely nothing will happen due to the overloaded system that has made Detroit the city with among the highest NON SOLVED homicide rate in the US. Property crime such as burglary or robbery? Forget it. Those aren't important to the overloaded police there. |

Lol, Permit....I got your permit right here bud.. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 51790415 United States 01/09/2014 11:33 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Newly minted Detroit police chief James Craig, offered a rallying cry for citizens of the Motor City, “arm yourselves and criminals will think twice about attacking you.” Craig stated, ”when we look at the good community members who have concealed weapons permits,” he said, “the likelihood they’ll shoot is based on a lack of confidence in this Police Department.” Quoting: BigJimmyDean This comes on the heels of the gun control debate raging and the abject squalid conditions in Detroit. Detroit has unfortunately had lots of violence in the city and the bankruptcy of the city, isn’t helping. So with all the ills currently ailing the city, the Chief chose to stand on this issue. He went on to state “coming from California, where it takes an act of Congress to get a concealed weapon permit, I got to Maine, where they give out lots of [carrying concealed weapon permits, or CCWs], and I had a stack of CCW permits I was denying; that was my orientation,” he said. “I changed my orientation real quick. Maine is one of the safest places in America. Clearly, suspects knew that good Americans were armed.” [link to www.kulturekritic.com] Ok, lets fire all the cops including the chief, since there's no need for them anymore. |

EVERYBODY ... listen. Do you hear the silence? Have you noticed how QUIET the Liberals have been about taking away your guns? It would be a welcomed distraction from ObamaCare for them, but they're mum. Yeah, the mid-term election is 300 days away. They KNOW that they would LOSE worse in November if they were to talk about it. . |

They hear two widely varying sets of dialogue, usually. That is part of the false-diametric the populous is fed on this and many other issues. So glad this guy is clear for everyone. Cheers, John Detroit |
