Could be worse. We could be mars -- due to be smacked by a 30 mile wide comet in October. [ link to www.space.com] Maybe it will miss, but every time they recalculate the distance it gets closer....not farther. C/2013 A1 (Siding Spring)could devastate the planet...or..who knows...maybe it will finally warm it up enough to eventually support life. Either way...cool.
