Re: Sandy Hook: What gunman took Kaitlin Roig's cellphone?
The fact of the matter is Roig's cell phone is a huge piece of the puzzle. Its very possible the phone had a picture or video of what really happened. Somebody took it and destroyed the evidence.
 Quoting: GuyBannister

Totally agree, and probably even more important (or just as important) is how that cellphone came to be between 6 and 10 Riverside Road.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 48919823

I just did a search on Roig. Looks like shes living pretty large. She lives in Greenwich and doesn't teach anymore. She said she spent the anniversary going to the spa. Seems like shes not too sad if she goes to the spa.

I wonder why she immediately called Vest. I wonder if he was one of the people recently let go from the school?

Seems like a pretty far-fetched story.

My guess is that that Aussie paper heard "vice principal shot in the leg," looked up the name, and got the wrong guy.

But if it's anything other than that--I'd be really interested.

And yes, Plas's deal with the Roig-mom thing - totally bizarre.

Having a devil of a time finding Vest. But there are indeed multiple Vests in the area. Just wondering how recently he worked at the school.

I have been searching for Vest as well, can't find any old school directories that have him in it.....I believe he is in Fla. Or at least was according to report.

From PlasMan:

Kaitlyn Roig is an interesting story. I call her the Super Model and wife gets pissed over it. Sure I get it that you will hang on the interviews but it's what has happened SINCE that is most bizarre. She's not even there anymore.

-------------------------

Weird...The dude says nobody left, then he admits Roig is gone.

I'm telling you there are very few, if any, of the "TV personalities" of Sandy Hoax still anywhere near the place.

(PlasMan response)

There are a few who moved around the District. At least two retired (Perry and Virgala for sure). Hammond is Lead Teacher at HOM. Roig was asked to leave last spring because she would not teach without her mother in room.
This year, she couldn't get herself to teach and took a 1 year leave of absense. She has sprouted up at some charity and appeared in a few magazines.

There were possibly two ex-SHS employees who called/were contacted; the one from FL who hadn't worked there since the 1980s or 1990s, and was being interviewed about a local Florida threat case, and then this Vest guy who was formerly a janitor. But...they could be the same guy; however, the report mentioning the Florida man made no note of it being related to anything else and stated it was being included for "assist other agency" only.

According to Roig's Glamour (I think that was the one) article, the reason she left SHS was because she and school district bigwigs disagreed on how much could be discussed regarding Sandy Hook.

Re: Sandy Hook: What gunman took Kaitlin Roig's cellphone?
Wondering about a theory as to why shooting may have begun in Room 8.

If a team was planning to strike three rooms, and if indeed the doors between rooms open to the north, i.e. to the left as you're standing outside each room looking in, then the only logical place to stash the gunmen is Room 8.

At an agreed-upon time, gunmen in Room 8 begin shooting, and kick in the door first to Room 10, and at some point kick in the door to Room 12 (or try to).

Why would they try to break into three rooms from the hallway where everyone can see them easily? It would be more logical to sneak in to Rousseau's room and hold hostages silently; the "man with the flat expression" could have been the final guy coming to Rousseau's to be let in by the other shooters. Then they can move between classrooms using the possibly-unlocked side doors, or at least being able to kick them in (something not possible with the hall doors, which opened out).

I think this is why so much time is spent in the police reports trying to understand which door the children saw shooters enter through. How do you "kick in" a door that opens out, not in?

I don't know for certain yet that Soto's room had a side door opening into Roig's room; however, if a gunman really kicked in one of Soto's doors, it sounds like Rousseau's room did have a door that opened to the north into Soto's.

As you're facing the classrooms, it would be:

3 Roig <--| 2 Soto <-- | 1 Rousseau

"We all got in there. I locked us in," she said. "I don't know if [the gunman] came in the room... I just told them we have to be absolutely quiet."

[link to abcnews.go.com]

Not sure what ABC's bracketing around [the gunman] refers to.

But why would she say I don't know if the gunman came into the room? Like, why would she even volunteer this phrase? Surely this must mean one of the doors was opened at some point?

I'm positive that Roig and Soto's rooms shared a door (rooms 10 and 12). Soto's door to the hallway would not lock is what they say.

Rooms 6 and 8 (Rousseau) shared a door and the teacher hiding in room 6 heard someone in their room but much of what she overhead was redacted.

I'll see if I can find the reports and maps to back that up.

School diagrams - room layouts.

VERY interesting, btw, that they felt compelled to provide such detail of Room 6.

Only Rooms 12, 10, 8 and 6 are given such detail in that section. Maybe it makes sense due to 6's adjacency to 8.

Here we go - 1200704597 (PDF 00118939) - describes scene, and doors, in detail.

"The following rooms in the north hallway have an interior door that is shared by the two classrooms: #12 and #10, #8 and #6, #6 and #4 and #3 and #5."

So as coincidence would have it, of all the rooms in that row #10 and #8 did not share a door? Why would this be the case?

The kids in Soto's room said the shooter "burst into the room" and "kicked the door in."

And we know, of course, that the shooter couldn't have "kicked the door in" since the hallway doors open outwards.

Very beautiful photo - and somehow creepy, lol. I don't know why. It reminds me a bit of Jehovah Witness (and other fundamentalist) art, and also seems somewhat reminiscent of the bizarre "End Times" photo shoot.

Found the adopted reference:

"Roig, born Oct. 31, 1983, was adopted by her parents the same day that the paternal grandmother of the family passed away. "

[link to www.thepampanews.com]

But ck this out - remember Rosen describing the sound of gunshots in a way that made them sound like automatic gunfire? In the YT interview, he made a series of very rapid noises to describe the eight shots he (and Dahlmeyer) heard. Far too fast to be an unmodded AR-15.

Now Roig, from a second article:

It wasn’t like, ‘Boom!’ It was like, ‘Di-di-di-di-di-di-di-di!’ And it wouldn’t stop.”

[link to www.greenwichmag.com]

If you're going to describe AR-15 fire, again, you're more likely to say "Bam! Bam! Bam!" or "Pop! Pop! Pop!" Something that indicates the separation. They can be sort of fast, but not "Di-di-di-di-di-di-di-di!"

Not unless it has a bump stock, which it might well have had, but no one wants to mention because it reduces the impact of the work being done to ban/limit (unmodded) semiautomatics.

After listening to debate between Jim Fetzer and Keith Johnson it was learned, from Johnson, that the reason there was the sign "everyone must check in" and why many had lanyard IDs is because Newtown had previous hired Salamander Technologies, so that they would be ready in the event something like this would occur:

"The Sandy Hook, Newtown and Cheshire Fire Departments utilized Salamander Intelligent Accountability (IA) solutions that they purchased from local Regional Technical Center (RTC), Higgins Corporation, prior to this terrible event. Nearly all on-scene were tagged and tracked using the department’s IA gear. This helped those responsible to resolve the situation and manage it more effectively and efficiently by allowing them to know who was on-scene and accounted for."

I find this very curious for a small town, maybe I'm wrong but my town has not hired a company for a just in case situation...

Hey - where the hell is Roig's fellow teacher/educational assistant in all this?

Didn't Roig have another adult with her? If she didn't, why would that be...seems like every other classroom in question, at least of the regular classrooms, had multiple teachers. Maybe I missed it.
