Shouldn't drink soda at all ever...drink some homemade ice tea 0 calories (15 Calories for each tsp of sugar) and your body saves the caffeine until you need it - NOT like coffee which goes directly into your body....

Don't eat preserved food or processed food...cook at home and control what goes in...

Re: Day 3 no pop/caffeine ugh!!
Its two fold....

HFCS and Caffeine both are making you feel poopy

The Caffeine you can mitigate and help the headaches by taking an aspirin that has a bit of caffeine. I think Excedrin has a little caffeine.

That will help alot in the early days. The caffeine headaches last about 3- 5 days. Its is about as bad as its going to get right now in the first 3 to 6 days.

Get past these days and you are in the clear.

The HFCS will make you feel crappy for about 3 weeks randomly you should feel crappy like once every 3 or 4 days...

Hit 30 days clean and its like you are a new person.

You should read the thread about K2 and Calcium

Soda robs calcium from everywhere in your body. It leaches it out your bones and teeth.

Good Luck!

The pain teaches a valuable lesson, don't try to chase it away.

Wait until day 7 when the pain has moved it's way down your spine and into your leg. I'm not making this up.

I have bought a big gulp nearly every day since quitting the energy drinks so it's been a long "habit" and Finally said enough is enough but damn this is hell. I'm even short of breath and just no energy at all. I don't eat that much crap and not overweight.

Pop is the worst to give up.

Flavor! Who doesn't want flavor when they're thirsty?

Worse, I am always thirsty.

Your body has been running on sugar and caffeine

You are changing the fundamentals and it will suck for a bit.

Use an aspirin to help get past the early headaches, it will ease the caffeine withdrawal pain.

Once the headaches stop its just a matter of determination then.

Glad im 23 an never drank pop or coffee I never had a caffeine addiction. Seemed gross meaningless and I found the taste of carbonated anything to be disgusting and not refreshing or thirst quenching. Which i found to be the only reason to drink a liquid is to quench my thirst.

I would recommend drink LOTS of DISTILLED water from now on. Even juices are kinda pointless unless its blueberry juice that stuff is delicious.

STOP doing that. You need minerals and distilled water will leach minerals out of your body to reach equilibrium between the two solutions...

Just drink spring or well water that has no fluoride.

I have done this drill 3 times in my life.

that is kinda BS because you get minerals from FOOD you eat naturally. if you eat good food drinking distilled water has no negative effects except for being pure h20.

Re: Day 3 no pop/caffeine ugh!!
Not to be an asshole, but it's really not that hard. I had spurts of being a caffeine, nicotine, sugar, energy drink, etc fiend.

One day I literally threw out my smokes and cut caffeine and soda out of my diet. A few headaches here and there for a few days, nothing crippling. If you've made the decision to do something it's easy to accomplish. Will power, etc. If you're still on the fence and quitting your brain will do all types of fucked up shit to your body to get you to relapse.

You need to research basic chemistry.

It pulls minerals out of you body to equalize the level of nutrients in that water (the distilled water) Pure H2O is correct, and you would think that is good....

and it is good only in the sense that it has no negitive properties because it is pure...

BUT. It will rob the nutrients you get from you food to equalize.

Not to mention if the minerals are not in the ground they are not in the food, if they are not in the food YOU ARE NOT GETTING THEM FROM DIET.

Supplement with absorbable plant derived minerals.

Re: Day 3 no pop/caffeine ugh!!
Maybe it's easy for some maybe not for others. I quit smoking as well no problem, even relapsed and bought a pack when I partied over the holiday but after that no urge to buy again. The pop thing yes it's an addiction because I was thinking I needed it to not be tired but i know I don't. I did quit once before but can't remember why I started back up. bash

Re: Day 3 no pop/caffeine ugh!!
I stopped drinking Soda 6 months ago.

As of today ive lost 42 pounds.

This morning my BMI is 25 which is the top of the Recommended range.

I just switched to Green Tea.

I take 10 tea bags and I put a small saucepan on the stove with water to boil.

I fill up a big 1 gallon glass tea pitcher most of the way with cold water.

When the water on the stove boils I steep the bags in the tea for about 3-4 mins

Then I put the hot tea water extract into the bit tea pitcher with the cold water and stir.

Then fill a glass with ice and load up with Green Tea.

No Sweetener Added.

This is an old conspiracy right here. You can easily find the negatives and the positives from both sides of this argument.

You are not wrong as neither am I. That is always the issue with this topic.

Just like anything else Moderation and proper nutritional understanding.

There are no essential nutrients dissolved in tap water which humans depend on from this source for their survival or well-being. All essential nutrients can be obtained from foods and proper dietary supplements.

If one is worried about lose of minerals Drink your clear watered pee then and re absorb them.

Natural salt like himalayan salt will put the trace minerals back in your body if you drink distilled water. I usually just drink RO water.

Well... it was a caffeine withdrawal induced headache....

That should get you through the day. Carry 1 in your pocket cause in the next 48 hours it will come back.

I speak from decades of experience. 2 x 32 oz Pepsi's almost daily for years

I have quit 3 times... I have paused 3 times .. as I yet to quit.

The exact same experience every time.
