How many train derailments have there been just in the last 3 or 4 months?

No it would not have. That poster is correct. I have shot these small Coleman type propane cylinders with a gun before. Its not that big a deal.

Minor improvised devices like this are a daily occurence for law enforcement.

Because it is flares and a propane tank. Probably wouldn't have exploded. Very amateurish. Sounds like something a seventh-grade firebug with a bedwetting problem would dream up.

Tried it twice as a teen. Once, the round went through the tank (this was a gas grill-type tank) leaving two rather neat holes. The other attempt was a propane torch tank and it flipped around rather nicely, but didn't blow.

I don't know that we are EVER told the truth. This probably got leaked...TPTB in that area are just like Chicago...in fact...it is called mini-Chicago, that county. CORRUPT as all get out. There are only two counties outside of Chicago's Cook County that go blue in elections...Madison and St. Clair...that is it, most corrupt counties outside of Chicago, and the entire state always goes Dem.

There were other threats all over the area last week. It is very suspect to me that this would happen now. Kids usually hit schools, buses...I don't see a kid going after a RR track. IMO

Could've been a test run to test out a small device first. I agree a 1.2 lb propane tank won't derail a train, but 1.2 lbs of high explosives might.

I don't know anything about explosives...I just watch all of the train stuff since I grew up by tracks. Our parents were always concerned about derailments and said it doesn't take much to derail a train.

Funny how with relative ease any crazy person could sabotage a railway or water supply and yet all the large terror plots always get foiled or the bad guy screws up really bad, like Daffy Duck bad.

Apparently the Feds hang out in the jihad chatrooms 24/7 and always seem catch these guys. The Feds always find a bad guy, give him the location, give him the fake bomb, and then swoop in when nothing explodes.

Even the lone nut plots where the one bad guy hasn't even used a phone or email that could be intercepted by NSA evidently gets foiled. The NSA must be full of psychics!

I mean what are the chances of the Feds intercepting all these plots? 100% evidently. Wow, those guys are amazing!

Wouldn't put it past the railroad moguls to detonate a bit of track to get rid of old equipment through insurance claim. I mean, say you own a few skyscrapers in NY that require hundreds of millions in asbestos abatement? Why not over insure them for billions and fly a couple planes I to them? Blame terrorists and .gov will probably help you, possibly even pay you to help their agenda along at the same time.

Some people just don't get out much. These cylinders were on the tracks to create a nuisance, would do no damage.

Its not news because it was made by a child.
In no wayswas that anything more than a destructive device to anything other than a pile of leaves or dried grasses.
