You seem to think that by voting against these people would render you clean. Our salvation has nothing to do with anything other than faith in Jesus Christ. And yes, since we have that faith we should lead a good life. But...and this is a big but, I would tread carefully when you judge others for what they do/who they vote for. Implying that "because I do not vote for liberals, I am a good christian" is a very troublesome path. Romans tells us leaders are chosen by God, yep Hitler, Stalin, even Pontius was put in place by our glorious Father. We will never understand why, and it is not our job too. Romans 14 is a great read. In fact all of Romans is. Technically speaking no Christian is in good standing with God without Christ. And I'm sorry but Christ would take one of those liberals, or anyone, for that matter, if they chose Him. You can serve a law or you can use your head. Christ came to make it easier. Every single person on this earth is a sinner, who should you vote for? Either way your hands are unclean, and lucky for you, Christ washed them. |
