To me it seems more of a fantasy much like santa, tooth fairy, and other tales.I just can't understand anymore how a grown adult could believe in such things without searching for evidence. I don't want to call it science .. another thing that was tfought to me as the devil.

Read as: the older I get, the more I need some ideology that comforts my fears and pacifies my anxiety. Something that explains to me what I can't understand of life in a dogmatic manner which I can adopt and forget about all my doubts; regardless of factual evidence.

Have you held a daily relationship with Christ? Have you sought his will in your life over your own plans/desires? I'm just wondering what Christianity has been to you because a born again Christian who has received gifts of the Holy Spirit will see God's hand at work in his life and it gets to a point where it is something you don't stop believing in. Reading the Bible is useful for spiritual understanding, but how real is God to you? Whatever it is that you're lacking, whatever is causing this loss of faith, you need to speak to the lord about it from your heart and ask him to correct that in you. That's really what he wants from us, genuine heart to heart prayer like he's our closest friend, because he is our closest friend.

I was raised deeply religious now I don't believe either. I have no friggin idea why we are here and no longer care! Lightning hit clay 2 million years ago and the right spark and a minnow in a puddle mixed and wala, I can count and it has been 2014 years since some sort of cosmic appearance? Right...no one is there and no-one cares, we are all on our own!

I used to pray daily and still do. In the back of my mind I see myself praying to air. Like there really is nothing there. I'm not rebelling if that's what you people think. I would just like to know the truth of everything. I also know that many religions were created to keep humanity alive ..in which I completely agree. Humans need rules,morals, and structure.

Well of course you won't admit it, because it'd ruin the whole "fix" that religion gives you. But the truth is that you fall on religion because you need a framework for your life that doesn't leave any loose ends and that makes you feel you're in control because you're not strong enough to face reality raw.

I constantly seek out ways to prove that he is real. Like the fact Jesus fulfilled every single Old Testament prophecy. The fact that when you do evil your relationship with Jesus fades, and when you do good your relationship with Jesus flourishes. The fact that if you pray with faith, your prayers are answered. The ironic fact that Athiests hate Jesus, when they're supposed to be indifferent because they don't believe in him.

What about Hollywood ? Lots of famous celebrities have an upside down cross on their shirt, pentagrams in their music videos, occultist symbolism. Hating Jesus is pretty popular considering Jesus doesn't exist. Why not hate on Buddha, Allah or some other God? What about the strange idea that Athiests fear Demons and Satan, they talk about him.. But God doesn't exist. Why, when disaster strikes do people tell others they will be praying for them, why was the memo for USA "In God we trust." Why do celebrities sell their soul to the Devil..? Have a go for yourself, there's millions.

the truth is that, in general, people are small-minded and flawed. many have the ability to reach for a higher state but few can withstand economic or peer pressure, their internal integrity is low so they will almost always fold like a bad poker player.

there are conspiracies and there are many things beyond our rational grasp. I have seen two of these things myself, and never found a good explanation.

We are ants in an anthill, living beside a eight-lane highway and we are clueless about what a car is, or why it passes by, or why it pulls over and crushes our house and friends every so often.

Based on your responses it's likely you've never received the Holy Spirit, been born again in the spirit. If you had you would know that God is real. The real deal leaves no doubt in your mind because it shocks you to the core, and gives you a taste of who you really are and were meant to be. First examine yourself and remove any sins from your life that may be holding you back from being close to the lord. You need to be willing to give yourself fully to him. If you need to know that God is real, simply ask him to show you in a way that you'll understand. Ask to receive the Holy Spirit and do this sincerely. It may not happen immediately (it took two weeks in my case), but if you want this I guarantee God wants it many times more and is willing to give it to you. I wish you the best and if things don't work out for you now, they may come at a later time.

To be honest I Hate when people say we came from apes.. Now, if god is real wouldn't he put the apes here for us to save our race? I mean god is perfect right? He knows what we need before we know. Who's to say he didn't give them the genes for human survival. Such as testing surgery,medicine, and many other routines. Did our saviour not give is what we needed. Did our father King of Kings and Lord of Lords not give everything he could? There is no such thing as a coincidence.

Yes I have gone through this a number of years ago and my decision was NOT to tell my parents of my change of belief. Until they have reason to challenge the validity of their own faith, they would only see me as rejecting the one true God-based belief system...and their focus would be to use the Bible to show me the error of my thinking.

When it comes to matters of belief of your relationship with your Creator, it is so personal it becomes a label that is attached to your own identity. And to challenge someone's belief system is to strike them at the very core of who they are, so I don't ever go there. Religious wars and conflicts have occurred because of this. Instead I have tried to get my parents and family members to view things outside of the box. To get them to step back outside of the confines of what they have been taught, and evaluate in an unbiased way their religious/spiritual belief system, to get them to see what rings true for them at the level of the heart. That is where transformation of belief occurs, so I have chosen to try to inspire people instead of trying to reason with them.

many people go from believing to not believing and vice versa and over again and again. remember everyone has sinned on this planet, and evil is running wild and can be fun for all without anyone really understanding that it is purely evil. changing evil habits is hard to do if you don't know what to change, but if you can look more for righteousness, the bad habits are easier to discover.

many people have very unique experiences in life that can only be possible through the devil, a higher spirit/being, Jesus, and/or God himself. everything is divinely twisted and veiled as it ought to be.

try concentrating on something that you have strong questions about... they should be specific questions that you'd like to hear Jesus and God answer. the subject could be something that is really bothering you or frustrating you and making you unhappy. now think of only one question and focus on it and let your feelings build up for a few minutes... then get your bible out, close your eyes, open the bible, and point a random finger to a spot on the page. read what it says... correlate it to what you were focusing on. many times you won't need to correlate cause the accuracy is so high that it is already in the same context. that has worked for me numerous times. i don't do it everyday of course, but every few months i encounter something that i really get fed up with... so i do the concentrating and then random finger point and i receive a clear and amazing answer each time. sometimes i want to know if i should go ahead with something, and i get my advice from the bible and it is spot on. i don't know anybody else who does this, but people do know about it. it may not work for everyone, but it has worked for me which gives me no doubt that Jesus and God do exist. peace!
