Nasa calls it a magnetic prominent eruption, basically an anomalitical magnetic energy inside the plasma. It took them over two weeks to come up with this initially after the sun sucking orb appeared last year. So basically they have no idea either. Theres been quite a few of these over the last year, still no ones sure what they are!
