Have you tried to put yourself in her shoes to see what she is feeling & thinking?

To understand where someone is coming from, it help to put yourself in their shoes.

Have you tried getting to know her outside of being her daughter-in law.

Just keep in mind that maybe one day "you too" may become a mother-in-law, & hopefully you will not have a daughter-in-law who hates you.
