I know it's hard, but keep it to three:

1. Sixth Sense

2. The Exorcist

3. The Others

cheers
 Quoting: BadMoonRisen

this is a pretty good list actually...especially 1 and 3.
 Quoting: No More Lies

cheers

I think The Others was brilliantly acted and so atmospheric. And the ending was surprising too.
 Quoting: BadMoonRisen

yea...the 6th sense is def my number one, primarily because it was also a damn good movie...i'd have 'the others' at 2 because it made me scream out loud in the theaters at one of the jump scenes, only time ive ever done that...i'd put The Amityville Horror at 3.

Hard to keep it to three isn't it? Some great choices here...
If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present.

I think the Sixth Sense was even better second time around - knowing the twist at the end. It was awesome watching it with that perspective.

We DEF need a MICHAEL MYERS comeback. And a re-boot for "The Gate"

Check this out:

I noticed this when I bough the DVD - see what it says at the end of Leatherface's chainsaw???

or SEX???

Michael Myers is the best. I haD INPUT on the second zombie film - I grilled him for having no trick or treaters or no hollween decorations/

I also wrote the screenplay for the orginal creepshow III

They are re-making "Poltergeist" a film that Spielberg did - domincik dunnes daughter was killed - and a lot of ppl were cursed.

and they are rwe-doing another creepshow - hopwfully.

Insidious was good - but the second one sucked. they took out the lipstick demon.

The Unborn was OK - too jewish, though... gary oldman as a rabbi. there are jewish references in all films now - no reason - just inserted into every film. great!!

I was psyched to see the Unborn only to realize I had hyped it up too much for it to be any good, plus the PG13 rating made me doubt it's horror ability.

The Originals film 30's, 50's verisons:

1. King Kong---- (the African Music when the Americans are sneaking in to film the natives when they are grooming the Native Kong Sacrifice still scares the b-geebers out of me!

2. Godzilla King of the Monsters---- with Raymond Burr--again the
spooky music scares the B-geebers out of me!

3. The Blob-----with Steve McQueen, fantastic music in the film!

50's Blob song. Would you believe Burt Bacharach wrote it?

Re: Best Horror/Paranormal Films? Your Top Three Please...
Does anyone remember a similar thread a few months ago about ufo related films? There was one film recommended which I think I watched on youtube but I had too much to drink and hardly remember any of it, including what it was called!! I want to watch again.

I think it was about an underground base. Might have been called "the hum" or "the noise" or "the sound" or something like that. All I can remember is of some guy climbing down an embankment from a road and trying to get in and finding lots of EBE's inside.

I think all this stuff gets de-programmed from my brain.
