the star Betelgeuse is not a star, so NO. Watch it some time, it moves around. Making it NOT a star. What is it then? I will leave you to ponder what it is. stars do not move around while you watch them. This has often been seen and posted about here in GLP in years before and I have observed it moving myself. There was a thread a few years ago where a whole bunch of people here were running and out of their houses one evening watching it. Fair enough,I shall have a search!i did think atmospheric conditions could make stars appear to move?anyway I'll have a look,cheers!
