I enjoyed them all but the one that really made me cringe was with the girl waking up with no memory. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but that particular episode made me think on deeper and deeper levels. Actually they all did. I haven't watched television in around ten years so when I see a show that really makes me think and analyize my own current perceptions more objectively it is a real treat. I think each episode could inspire some very thought provoking discussion. Each episode really exposes some things about the human condition that we would rather keep hidden. Again, super glad you posted about it ! No problem. I felt compelled to share it with you guys. It's the most thought provoking show I have ever seen, really. And that episode with the memory loss, season 2 episode 2, has got to be my favorite. Followed closely by the Fifteen Million Merits episode. If you want more from Charlie Brooker, check this out Damnit haha i want to talk about it but dont want to spoil anything! Anyway what about the final message behind the 15 million merits tho?! A big downer if you realise it.. (unfairness) I loved the "merikan idol" feel of "hot shot", loved it in a very scary ironic sense. The main actor in that episode did a very good acting job. One of the things he said caught my attention about his disinterest in buying new tennis shoes for his double with merit points? I know that they were producing an energy source for others and am guessing those others are their dopplegangers. Ugh...awful. Not as awful as those folks in India who slave in garment districts, and lose their lives as well. So much to take in and consider. The apathy and hive mentality of the workers in that episode is a sad reflection of current society. Will definetly be checking out more of the creators works. |

AMAZING concept for reality. what do you mean about their dobbelganger tho? What i made from that was that he didnt see the point in buying new 'shoes' for his online avatar. Or a mirror-app that makes you look like a werewolf (like we had a few years back with the zombie-app) amazing! also how the pure star became.. well you know what. reminded me of britney spears, miley cyrus.. and a few others like lindsey lohan.. so very well thought off. i feel this series is growing inside me lol. i just watched it and now start to realise more and more details. omg i really got un-well when that dude putt his finger in her mouth.. my god. and the fact the he couldnt even turn it off?! that watch-timer. that could never become reality for me. id flip WAAAAAAAAAAAAAY before id be stuck there. (i hope..?! or is it like people in NK who just dont know any other way and cant get out to find out either? pfff scary!) 1984 somewhat |

The fact that the commercials charged him to skip, and when he could no longer afford it and tried to close his eyes it would turn red and repeat "resume viewing" while creating an increasingly higher pitched tone. Eye detecting software has existed for years and it could very well be implemented in this way.
