Anonymous Coward User ID: 9026959 Canada 01/31/2014 08:55 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is the future we are heading into, tracking of your exact location, spying on what you are looking at, spying on what you are writing, saying and doing, total control of what the people are doing, their actions and reactions. The simple mobile cell phone has be transformed into micro computers that allow us to do things we never thought possible before but with that technology comes the ability of friend & enemy to track almost everything you are doing! There is no need for RF id chips to be implanted into people anymore, that is just a distraction to the real event that is taking place, you have your RF id chip already in your cellphones and almost everyone has one these days! Most people do not turn their cell phones off at night, and it would not matter anyways as you still are broadcasting when its off even, the only way to make sure they do not know your current locations is to remove the battery from the phone. The technology that is supposed to liberate and free us from so much is harming us more in the long run. Are there any case studies on the actual effects for RF on the human body produced by these phones? Have you checked your manual that came with the cell phone, the one that actually you have to flip the paper pages to read the 100+ pages. There is a specification on the distance you should keep your phone from your head when making a phone call, you will be shocked if you actually read how you are not supposed to keep the cell so mamy cm/inches away from your head! Msny people keep there cell phone on the night stand or table beside the bed and are getting hit with RF on a constant and regular basis which is not a good thing. We are headed down a road of exciting new possibilities but also with greater potential dangers of personal privacy invasion then ever before. |

As in the proliferation of paranoia to deter any non-conformist action- has the chilling effect on any would be non-conformist, making them feel like there is 3 ft of snow outside and they can't easily leave their home. The FBI has been proven to use this tactic: see 1960s and the use of narcs to deter protests of the Vietnam war. Snowden. |

As much as this is commonplace in the news re: Snowden; in Canuckistan they broke the law. Can't spy like that in Canada and get away with it, not even on foreigners, much less us Canucktards! CSIS has been caught. Our laws specifically state no blanket surveillance allowed and must be court-approved with some basic evidence to support said warrant. Consequences and repercussion are coming and this will end up in court. It is a criminal offense and heads will roll. I am sure that lawyers are drooling over this as the class actions will be rolling too. I would suspect that if you can prove that you were in one of the airports with a wireless device during this time that you are a legitimate claimant. I do enough traveling to be one. I will be on board to sink these fuckers for their actions. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 53675429 India 01/31/2014 10:46 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Documents released by US whistleblower Edward Snowden show the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC) used airport Wi-Fi to track passengers from around the world. Quoting: DREAM MERSHANT Travelers passing through a major Canadian airport were potentially caught up in a vast electronic surveillance net, which allowed the nation’s electronic spy agency to track the wireless devices of thousands of airline passengers - even for days after they had departed the terminal, a document obtained by CBC News revealed. The document shows the spy agency was then able to track travelers for a week or more as the unwitting passengers, together with their wireless devices, visited other Wi-Fi "hot spots" in locations across Canada, and across the border at American airports. The CBS report said any place that offered Wi-Fi internet access, including "airports, hotels, coffee shops and restaurants, libraries, ground transportation hubs" was vulnerable to the surveillance operation [link to rt.com] except few countries in south america and africa n asia, you are spied everywhere the only good thing about spy cameras in asian countries is technicians are too lazy to maintain the equip and it never work in europe n america, govt cares more about spy cameras while in asia govt cares more about bribes |

Din User ID: 50834512 Canada 01/31/2014 03:31 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I used to think the same as alot of people here, but there is point to something that is said over and over. The fact is plain and simple... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 342233 'if you're not doing anything illegal, then what do you have to worry about when they track you in other countries?' It true. To me it's not so much that I have anything to hide, because I don't. I'd just rather have government organizations actually obey the charter of rights and freedoms. As long as my rights are being violated then I will be against the policies they have in place that infringe on my rights, as should anyone who gives a shit about their rights. |
