They are again a hidden meaning. The light saber from my perspective is a weapon that symbolizes the internal power of the Jedi to channel his will and flow so much force energy that it becomes a condensed beam of physical energy with the power to cause damage.

Uh, because it's a classic of modern cinema? Because it follows the hero's journey to a tee, which resonates with us on a deeper level as the journey our soul takes? And If you assume I'm not intelligent or physically out of shape then it just shows you are very ignorant. How about you stop generalizing and putting others down for having opinions different than your own? It might open and expand your views on reality..... It might just make you easier to live around and get along with, and hey if you're lucky you might even become a decent human being. It all starts with tolerance(which has roots in empathy) though, something you clearly have little of at this point.

The first film was made cheaply, had good special effects (for the day) had charm and appealed to a generation of kids that have grown up with it. Much like Harry Potter, Star Trek, Loan Ranger, Flash Gordon, Rocket Man etc.

What the hell? Star Wars was awesome, there is a lot of deep stuff in it. Even the new ones the actual story wasn`t that bad but the execution and the way it was presented was terrible, and basically ruined by adding pointless retarded characters they thought they could sell merchandise around.

How can you hate lightsabers, space bounty hunters, smugglers, fucking jedis who can use the force. All sorts of kinda retarded looking aliens, spaceships, robots, jawas, ewoks, WOOKIES, yoda, the sith lords, giant space slugs, blaster pistols, tractor beams, tauntauns, holograms, rancor, sarlacs, boba fett for gods sake. What the hell that shit is awesome. Go watch it at least before you start posting threads about how much you hate it. Oh just watch a new hope through return of the jedi. The new ones are that great to watch.
