what is islam? to me it seems like a racist organisation...

In todays world, humanity should have grown out of religion already but has not...
Christianity doesn't bother me so much (aside from the occasional jehovahs witness), because they do not try to shove it down my throat all the time (altho they did before, historically). But in today's world Christianity really is peaceful, it has grown out of the times where Christianity was used as an excuse to conquer lands.

But Islam is in that state right now, it is a flag for arabs (and other middle easterners) to unite under... but for what purpose?? Islam completely defines these people, they are nothing more than just servants of islam... and some of them are totally insane and will kill you if you do not share their mental illness.

To me islam just seems to be all about intimidation, like some big mafia organisation... They all call eachother brothers and greet with "salam alaikum", which is kind of like some gang-greeting.
There is no such thing as Egyptian, Moroccan, Turkish, Iraqi, Pakistani, Somali, Saudi Arabian, etc - they are all just MUSLIMS.

Can somebody explain what is Islam other than some kind of big, racist, mafia-like organisation set to conquer and intimidate the rest of the world?

If I lived in a country where there actually were any muslims I would probably be killed just for writing this, but thankfully I don't live in some multicultural cesspit.
