Japanese Gov't seeks approval for dumping Fukushima plant groundwater into sea

"Part of the issue is general concern about radiation, and the startling amounts that are released into the environment by the 435 nuclear power plants operating worldwide as of Jan. 3.

Pacific Gas & Electric Co.’s Diablo Canyon plant in San Luis Obispo discharged 323 million liters of water into the Pacific in 2012, or about 870 tons a day, according to data from the company on the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission’s website. That’s equivalent to 130 Olympic swimming pools and more than twice the daily amount leaking from Fukushima.

That water contained 3,670 curies of tritium, or 136 trillion becquerels, according to the company, almost three-and-a-half times the amount released from the Fukushima plant into the ocean in the period starting May 2011. The plant also discharged cesium-137 and strontium-90, though at lower levels than Fukushima.

Diablo Canyon’s discharges are regulated by the NRC and the plant complies with its licensing requirements, PG&E spokesman Blair Jones said in an e-mail. Total liquid discharges from Diablo Canyon in 2012 were 0.0165 percent of what the NRC allows, Jones said. "

We know they have been dumping, then they admit to the leaks, NOW the seek aproval to dump straight into the ocean.
We all saw this coming, but couldn't believe they would go this far, but they are.

Please try everything you can to stop this from happening.
This will affect (if not already), the life on the planet as we know it, and create a situation thay our children's children cannot deal with.

Then it's time to invade them and bring along some contractors that have some ideas.

Last year TEPCO put up an online Application seeking outside contractors and ideas (i put one in GRIN)... not heard anything back about whether they have taken anyone that was serious on board...
