Anonymous Coward User ID: 45040585 United States 02/03/2014 11:22 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Pantera, and Darrell Abbott was my first guitar teacher. I saw them at Six Flags in 1985 here in Arlington, Texas. I called the "Pantera Hotline" the next day printed on the back of the album I bought there and met him for my first lesson on Tuesday. They used to play around Dallas/Ft Worth at all the clubs and they were a glam band that occasionally played heavy shit. Used to sneak in the back door at a club called Savvy's at 15 years old and watch them play. All I had to do was ask for Darrell and it was on. Great band and an even greater man. I knew him until him death in 2004 and he never changed who he was. Anyway, Pantera is the answer, sorry for the tangent. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 5245480 United States 02/04/2014 12:20 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My dad saw Jimmy Buffett at the Exit Inn in Nashville Tenn. I think it was early 70s. He said he was one of maybe 30 people there and said he really enjoyed it. Cut to 15 years later when he said he saw Buffett in an arena and hated it. He said you couldnt hear a word he sang because all the drunk people were yelling the lyrics. |
