My friend and I were pulled over south of Prague twenty years ago. The CZ cop was bored yet polite, told my friend he was speeding, and then issued a ticket - which was paid in cash.

He didn't ogle the interior of my car for "drug paraphernalia" - another excuse to escalate the situation and confiscate (steal) the car or violate our rights.

There was no worry that an innocent movement by myself could get me murdered by this foreign cop. Unlike here in the States, where they creep up to your car with their sidearm unsnapped, just looking for an excuse to kill you.

That's what I thought as well. Since 2012 the US has turned into a peaceful libertarian paradise, with cops completely disarmed except for citation books and gumdrop smiles...
