GOOGLE DOODLE 02-07-2014
First let me clarify one important point – I do support gay rights and marriage. While I do not claim to understand the LGBT lifestyle, I do understand that any individual should have the freedom to choose whatever path he or she wishes in life. That is as long as it does not harm another or infringe on their rights in any way. Considering same-sex couples getting married in no way affects me, I feel there is no harm in that particular union.

Additionally, I also feel that individuals do have a right to free speech, provided it is not solely inflammatory. Granted, while I do realize connotations can be misconstrued and true intentions concealed, I feel that anyone with noble intentions should at least be given a chance to be heard.

With this being said, I find the current Google doodle to be very distasteful. In fact, I feel that it is a downright attempt to “stir the pot” and pit one country against another during a time of crisis. The decision on the part of Google to append such an image to their homepage is not only irresponsible, but also dangerous to United States Foreign Relations.

In my humble opinion, it is a desperate attempt to force other nations to kowtow to our sense of morals and values- which is highly dangerous.

The image actually has nothing to do with the LBGT community. The graphic designer at Google Inc. who came up with the idea had previously worked for various projects involving the packaged candy Skittles. The designer, Alejandro Lopez, claims he was "subconsciously inspired" by his previous work with the theme "taste the rainbow" and the use of rainbow colors.

I find it ironic that you claim that homosexuality is a victimless crime and yet schools are starting to force it in to lessons, the masses are forcefully having it shoved down their throats at every opportunity and set up under the 'discrimination laws' , innocent people who refuse to approve or condone it are being declared bigots and haters.

You think it's a victimless crime....yet you do not understand a reprobate mind... In the end it will only approve of those who practice their wickedness. Which means, all who don't practice it will never be approved. In other words, this has nothing to do with tolerance. Anything short of approving it as a valid choice for your child, anything short of adopting the practice yourself, anything short of anyone anywhere not recognising itas a 'god created and approved sexuality' gets to feel their disapproval. It is already happening, yet you cling to this falsehood that it's about 'tolerance'.

There is only one agenda which uses 6 out of 7 colours of the rainbow. Therefore it is most definitely morality being indoctrinated into the masses by google who like all other forms of media - are pulpits. Pulpits preach. Welcome to the new form of a beast RCC. But because it does not wear priestly garb, judging by appearances and not fruit, you cannot discern what it is.

Shall I force you to attend church? Then why is google and all the other media forcefully preaching to every one of its users?

What utter rot.

And what utter, stinking cowardice.

And one more thing - Putin merely said that activism supporting homosexuality is banned, especially around children. He did not ban homosexuality itself, and he welcomed homosexual guests and athletes to the Olympics. In other words, what is going on here is a rejection of traditional Russian values by the US and Google, because it has not completely accepted the open expression and support of something which goes against its own culture. So who's the haters here? Who is demanding total obedience, and not meeting anyone halfway?

Not Russia.

Gays need to get off of this totalitarian thing. It's ugly, and its headed towards violence all over the world. News Flash - the world does not owe you celebration because of who you like to fuck. Billions of people are struggling to eat. Your genitals simply do not rate compared to that, you narcissistic fools.

If you want to protest something, protest Islam. Islam kills gays on sight. But you don't hear any of those rainbow cowards protesting outside of any mosques. I wonder why?

The Toronto Mayor is being attacked in the media for not going to the Gay Pride Parade.

This is insanity. Attacking someone for not wanting to witness the cities biggest soft core gay orgy.

People are not designed to be homo's. A key fits in a lock.

I am petty damn sure there are quite a few Christians that wouldn't mind killing gays as well.. As a matter of fact, I believe they would think they are doing God's work of Justice, to prevent the nation from facing the Wrath of their heavenly father..

You make a valid argument. However, I feel the mind of the LGBT community is far from reprobate. It could be argued that the LGBT community is extremely principled in what they believe. While I may not agree with the lifestyle, I feel it would be inappropriate to consider them unprincipled. In fact, I would argue that the LGBT community seems rather militant sometimes.
