A video featuring a forlorn war-equipped dog, captured by the Taliban, is provoking uproar online.

In the footage, gunmen show off weapons while the subdued dog, wearing a vest with a GPS device, small camera and other equipment is being held by a chain, the Telegraph reported.

Lost my dog Kuma a Chihuahua after 11 years a nasty heel biter but the best friend I could ever ask for. Would I shoot you in the face if you killed my dog? Yes and I would wear your skin to or too. Again if this dog makes it back? im sure he will have major issues.

Yeah, between Colonel and the thousands and thousands of dogs being shot and poisoned in Sochi, it's been a sad dog week.

I agree it is time for mankind to have a reset. We've lost our way and spend time focused on the unimportant and grow cold to the injustices all around us in all their many forms.

I bet they are more concerned for the equipment on the dog rather than saving it. I would lead a charge to get that dog back kill it myself as mean as that sounds. We have a huge war dog cemetery from WWII where I am from and some of the heroics you can read about how they died for there masters is heartbreaking. Yes I would build a glass factory on top of a Taliban cemetery.

Unfortunately, whatever was going to happen, has probably already happened......

But I am with you there, I would do whatever it took to rescue the dog.
