There is no "I" in team... so one person cannot truly be called a team... Hubertus von Hohenlohe is Mexico's only representative at the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympics. Von Hohenlohe, a descendent of German royalty, qualifies for Mexico after he was born in the country while his parents were on a business trip. I just did research on the mens ice hockey. 38 countries tried to qualify for the top 12 spots in the 2014 mens ice hockey. & YES Mexico does have a mens ice hockey team. But they failed to qualify for the top 12 out of 38 countries trying to qualify the Mexican mens ice hockey team ranked #37 Spain ranked #38 There is usually 40 countries who compete for winter Olympics each year. This year there were only 38 countries. The winter Olympics only take the top 12 countries.
