That is a given. Seriously, I wanted to write a book about this growing up as a child. Ok.. Fail there.

Here's one. Going to the car wash. As you wash your car the wash turns off and you put a scratch in your hood not knowing the pressure is about to oh off. You might say this is cheesy but there is no doubt, it has happened to you.

The young generation is screwed already.

GLP, work with me. Hhhhhhugh. Think. Pull all you have out of that part of your brian and recall. That there was some point of gratification in your life where you thought that you overcame some brilliant experience that made you feel. Damn, this Ego I feed really has some smarts. And can tribute to this thread.

Definitely. I learned this one the hard way. I have all my teeth minus one (a molar had to be extracted due to the location of a cavity). While the combined income that my wife and I make is over the ``$250k ZOMG your rich mark'', I was honestly surprised at just how expensive dental implants can be.

Buy ten acres of land in Kentucky, Tennessee, or Missouri, and never let it go.

Whenever you break the law, be double sure you aren't going to get caught. Your worst encounter with the law in your whole life should be a ticket for driving 75 mph in a 65 mph zone.

Don't marry unless you can answer this question with a YES: "Are you able to be utterly and completely yourself with this person?"

Don't get into debt and don't be a slave to credit card companies and the seducing tactics they use to get you to buy things on credit...

A hard lesson to learn...is trying to get out of debt...

Buy what you need and what you don't need stay away from unless you have saved enough money to buy it...

Most things people have and bought on credit they don't have or care about anymore yet still have debt for those things...

My Dad would say, if you can't afford it, then you don't need it...

Live within your means
learn to be creative with your own 2 hands...

Instead of looking at your past as mistakes, look at them as experiences that were necessary so you could understand what you don't want in life.

Know that you weren't wrong, and other people aren't wrong because they make choices you wouldn't make.

Life is an all-you-can eat buffet, just because you don't like the broccoli, doesn't mean you should try to banish it from the buffet.

Anger is poison, forgiving (yourself and others) is a powerful tool.

Find what you love in life, and figure out a way to keep doing it, and improve. Don't let fear of anything control your decisions.

Believe ideas that make you feel good.

Excellent replies. That was my bad choice growing up, maxing out a few cards. Although I was good at math I let the significant other take care of the bills. So in saying that, listen up young Gen. Always take matters into your own hands. Or when working with another partner, there is no harm in double checking one another's work. That's called teamwork.

I agree with this. I do it often. But there is that fine line that you don't cross. It does make life more interesting though.
Ok here's one to try. Live by the rule of helping someone and see what you get in return. Karma.
Growing up was more about me. But now I realize that we are just a speck of sand in a blip of time and we need each other's help.
If you see someone in need. Stop to help them.

I remember when I was on my way to work driving my car and the snow was coming down hard with minus 20 temps . I was going over an overpass and my headlights caught a homeless person pushing a cart on the other side of the highway as the wind and snow pelted this person (It's still vivid in my mind)
I thought to myself. I should go to Tims and get this person a coffee and bacon/egger. But I didn't. You know why? Because I would be late for work. Work was more important.
So I said to myself after. If I ever have the chance to brighten someone's day. I won't let anything get in the way.

I have witnessed this first hand but also have made mistakes in doing so. Which has taught me to never to judge a book by its cover. I'm terrible for doing so but I can be my own worst enemy sometimes.

if you're curious about something just try it

best to do this when you're young, so that you can determine who & what you wish to become as you grow older.

you do not need to determine a career path by 21 years old

be curious, experiment. new things breed new ideas

1)never have unprotected sex with any female
2)never talk anything in jest..always be serious
3)don't criticize govt even in private life
4)make influential friends..have good relationship with them
5)never invest money in races,females
6)never get married
7)learn valuable skills from seniors...no job is worthless..like cleaning,repairing,logging-i learnt this lesson hard way

When you get depressed try looking outside of yourself and stop concentrating on internal stuff, immerse yourself in the world. When you are happy or in a good mood is the time for self reflection.
