Weather Alert!!! &#8207!!! Another Ice Storm For The South Early To Mid Week!!!

Yes, we know.

I grew up in Alabama. It snowed maybe once every few years and we are talking about 1-2". This is crazy.

Just a normal Alabama winter in my mind. We had some cold ones in the 70s and 80s

Seems abnormal because the winters have been so mild in the last 15 yrs or so.

im almost 50 and grew up in Bama myself...

I remember snow and ice storms from my childhood,snow every winter(3-4)good storms per winter and maybe we would get a good ice storm every 4-5 years.

just normal weather patterns coming back...that's all.

I'm 33 and the last good snow storm I remember was 93.

If freezing rain hits first then snow you ant driving on it!
Good news is NWS has temps getting up above freezing but the NWS has been uppin the % chances for 2 days and showing 80% as of this morning for a mix of Freezin rain/snow some sleet.

im thinking Alabama/Georgia..the northern areas getting around 4 inches of snow with a quarter inch of ice on the base layer so if ya don't have ta drive...DONT!

There was snow here in AR on Saturday and people abandoned their cars on the interstate. It was less than 3" and people went nuts.

The reason for the paralysis is not the 2 inches of snow. It's the half inch of ice on top of it.

I'm only seeing 36-39 lows for my place so far.

Not sure if it's anything to worry about yet.

But if y'all aren't scared enough I can always turn on the red bold and type &#8207 til the fear sets in good enough. That was sarcasm.

For North Alabama snow, hopefully. It keeps missing my area. It seems to snow in all directions circling where I live. Lol
