Didn't know this thread was up. Thanks! Looks like I called it perfectly. Snowfall rates across DC now over 3" per hour ... AWESOME ...

Ice storm call was great as well...

Thanks again!

Re: Nor'easter Super Storm This Week...Who's Right? UPDATE #2 Winter Storm Watch Already Announced!
Storm dumps 10+ inches of snow overnight, upping forecasts

7:39 a.m. EST, February 13, 2014

A winter storm brought as much as a foot of snow to many parts of the Baltimore area overnight, and with wintry precipitation expected to pick up again late Thursday, meteorologists were expecting more than a foot of snow by the storm's end.
Snow accumulation reports included 15 inches near Pimlico, 13.5 inches in Eldersburg, 13 inches near Oella, 11.8 inches in Towson and 10 inches near Bel Air by Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The snow could end up setting a record -- 12.3 inches had been measured at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, the point of record for Baltimore, as of 7 a.m. The record for Feb. 13 was set in 1899, when 15.5 inches of snow fell at the U.S. Customs House in Baltimore. . . .

My area in southern Baltimore County has about 10-12 inches, but there was a lot of drifting overnight, so it's hard to tell. Those drifts aren't going anywhere at the moment, since the sleet has taken over.
Looking at a changeover back to snow later this afternoon into the early morning hours. I wonder if that wraparound event is going to produce more than they think...

Radar shows the precip shield heading north quickly. I am guessing it will fill in again soon.

The break in the storm really tamed it. We've got 15 inches in my area of Baltimore, but roads are plowed and passable, even most of the side streets. The additional 2 to 4 inches to come shouldn't be a problem.
