What a load of shit! Enormity of this train is without description. Oh my, let the back peddling begin. Next week you might go to the dock and chime in about the massive enormous freight liner full of cargo..... lol FAIL Thanks to the other members for getting this up-5* for you. |
MIgardener User ID: 2218630 Canada 02/10/2014 07:51 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh fucking boy.... a few apc's of various paint schemes obviously headed for refurbishment..... Great reason to get fucking excited..... It must mean the world is ending. FFS you wingnuts You see that X in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, it has a purpose. "All that is necessary for evil to triumph, is for good men to do nothing." That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.-Romans 10:9 "In this galaxy, there's a mathematical probability of three million Earth-type planets. And in all of the universe, three million million galaxies like this. And in all of that... and perhaps more, only one of each of us."-Dr.Mccoy |

Trains are used every day to transport military equipment. Why would this be more alarming than any other day? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 12863960 Because many of the users that frequent this site are afraid of their own shadows. And that includes you...BOO! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 53188723 United States 02/10/2014 08:03 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | My friend just called from Bryan, Texas, where he pulled Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54189031 over, with a lot of other people, to watch a train pulling what he speculated to be 3 miles of armored personnel carriers. There are 6 engines pulling this load. The vehicles are tracked, not wheeled, and unmarked except with some inventory numbers in chalk. Some have red crosses on them but most have nothing else, no military or country designation. Each section of the train held 4 carriers. It is headed SE to the coast and he speculated to Beaumont. If there are GLPers between here and there, you most likely can get a look for yourselves. The general consensus of the crowd watching was that this was something out of the ordinary and no one had seen any movement of this scope before. Sorry, no pics---but sharing my wonder if doom is not riding the rail? I believe I saw the same train going through Denver Colorado late last week. It was held up due to train issues...for a day or two..the train from denver apparently went through Salida |

I am not bothered by your name calling, really. I took a report from a GLPer and passed it on on the outside chance that it is another piece of the puzzle that clarifies that which is being devised behind our backs so-to-speak. I am not disappointed, and am grateful for the video and the speed with which the GLPer in College Station leaped into action to film. If you are disappointed in the post or the video, that my friend, is on you. If nothing else, it does show we Texans are going to keep an eye to the sky and the rails and beyond. Cheers! |

sashita User ID: 54128196 United States 02/10/2014 08:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is so weird! This morning I nearly started a thread because I was roused from my sleep by the sound of large military aircraft passing overhead. We live about 20 miles from Luke AFB and I have lived, here in Central Phoenix, long enough to know normal plane traffic from abnormal. This was very abnormal. Heavy planes were flying, overhead, about every 5 minutes for a period of several hours. I was so unnerved by all this activity that I immediately checked the tv news and the internet to see if something dramatic had happened overnight. If anyone else in the Phoenix area heard this, I would be interested to know and, combined with the rail movement of troops and vehicles, it's very concerning. |
Wrath O' Luna User ID: 23062442 United States 02/10/2014 08:07 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have seen two of these trains since August that have been almost identical, but have never had the chance to film it. A train goes by every hour so who knows how many of these things have gone by. So what would be the purpose? I mean they look brand new, despite the paint schemes....why is the military moving that much equipment from what seems to be Fort Hood (maybe after manufacturing in DFW)? Are they going to port? The Watcher User ID: 30416243 United States 02/10/2014 08:09 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I saw 4 of the big helicopters with double blades flying over before 10am, than around 3 I saw what I thought were 6 blackhawks but were at a distance, all headed the same southerly direction. I'm in central Mo. This is probably nothing but it was impressive to watch. I heard them too flying overhead in Lee's Summit, MO on Sunday afternoon. Lee's Summit is a suburb just south of Kansas City, MO. 1st time I have ever seen an V-22 Osprey helicopter overhead or in my life. We had a snow storm so I wasn't able to see the whole caravan, just the last trailing V-22 osprey. Very cool machinery. |

Quoting: Wrath O' Luna Thank you to all that helped me get this video on here and good on you OP for hanging in there :) Thank you for your efforts and those of the Fandango Rangers. This may not be the "big one" but it is out of the ordinary and I do consider that GLPers are a part of a chain of info that is determined by the willingness to pass on info which may seem insignificant but in the grander pic more significant than some might imagine. Texans are willing and that says a lot. Thank you! |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54194104 but wear do they unload the shitt?? any wideo of when they load/unload tha stuff? I guess you could technically follow the tracks on google earth and then have people along the route follow them till they end. New people picking up where others left off once the distance started to get to far for them to travel. Maybe GLP should try to set up a network along train routes??? |

Use your brian, moran! Hard to do from my POS tablet but I counted just shy of 200 vehicles. Seeing as OP's source stated "6 engines"(coupled with my utter ignorance of the Texas, let alone the US, rail system) is there a chance that this is a different train? I'm a proud Texan & American, posting from Central Texas & have no clue why my flag shows friggin Canada(no offense to my Canadian friends). Nefarious Libertine User ID: 52764356 United States 02/10/2014 08:17 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Not saying this is anything out of the ordinary, but if you knew that an economic crisis was about to unfold it makes sense to move and place your assets beforehand so they will be at the ready when the time arises. Unless you were able to track all transports for sometime we would never know if these movements are anything but normal. Which they can certainly be. We just don't know. We do not learn from history because our studies are brief and prejudiced. In a surprising manner, 250 years emerges as the average length of national greatness. This average has not varied for 3,000years. The stages of the rise and fall of great nations seem to be: The Age of Pioneers , The Age of Conquests ,The Age of Commerce ,The Age of Affluence ,The Age of Intellect ,The Age of Decadence. Decadence is marked by: Defensiveness, Pessimism, Materialism,Frivolity An influx of foreigners The Welfare State A weakening of religion. Decadence is due to: Too long a period of wealth and power, Selfishness Love of money ,The loss of a sense of duty. The life histories of great states are amazingly similar, and are due to internal factors. Their falls are diverse, because they are largely the result of external causes. - Sir John Glubb The Fate of Empires We are at the end of the Age of Decadence heading into COLLAPSE |

Multiple paint schemes, a few recognizable, first Calvary one stuck out. Quoting: Chrit They are M577 command vehicles. I don't see any new contracts in Texas to upgrade them though. Ohh might as well give a link. [link to www.army-guide.com] Fort hood and the First Calvary division did their last big upgrade back in 2003 on these adding a new Mortar fire control system (MCFS) in to their M577’s Now The 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade from hood just deployed to Kosovo and we are supplying M577 with the Picatinny MFCS to Italy who just had their first live fire tests. I’m guessing these are all going to Kosovo, Bosnia and Hercegovina and some will go to the Italian 11th Field Artillery and who ever else is helping with the NATO operations.
