What's Really bad is that they do NOT taste like they used to.
These and many other products get Cheapened by the product developers for the Greedy company who are trying to squeeze another penny out of the box.


Who else is old enough to remember when Ritz really tasted a lot better, more natural buttery?

... cookies like Pecan Sandies or Oreos, Miracle Whip, Heinz Ketchup, yes..Cheez-its, are just a few I can think of.

Nearly every major popular food product not only gets taken down in size, but flavor. I understand why they do it. Its big bucks to consolidate a handful of complex flavors into one cheaper one, or buy from a cheaper flavor maker.

Its dishonest to the consumer, though. But that's not where their obligations lie. Its with their own selfish interests or their stockholders. A penny a box on a million boxes is a million pennies.

I borrowed some without asking from my landlord when he screwed off on vacation

they were all broken and crumbling in my fingers
and the big box had individual sheefs with stacks
but I only ate a couple rows
so after when guilt set in and I went to replace them,
I couldn't afford the big box
and the stupid smaller box has them all together in a jumble
instead of wrapped in stacks,

All the off brand stuff is made by the same companies that make the "name brand" stuff. Those generic O's you are eating, are the Cheerio's they swept up off the floor.

Okay. Go to Aldi's. They have some out-of-the-country companies making some of their stuff. Worth a try. I get certain items there - good cheese from Ireland, England, etc. and some company out in the Midwest called Happy Farms I think. Anyway don't want to get started on a food chat.

One more thing: was in local Publix tonight and saw the Ritz (thought aboutcha') and they had a $1 coupon stuck on them).
