When you have a 300% increase in the upward deformation of the caldera.....couple with an even GREATER increase in the number of earthquakes.....coupled with the knowledge of Yellowstones history of phenomenal eruptions, at fairly regular intervals, putting us, currently, within the window of the next eruption....well....even cynics start to sit up & take notice. All of that having been said.....it could be tomorrow or it could be 50+ years down the road but the point is that we need to be vigilant in monitoring her because she, quite literally, could erupt at any time & the likelihood of the criminals in DC giving us enough warning to matter is pretty damn close to zero.
