SOMEHOW I think Russians are spinning attempts to interfere in Ukrainian affairs as Nazism but Russian attempts to interfere in Ukrainian politics is akin to czarist communism My guess is: for time being it is not safe for Ukrainians to be anybody |

I read an account of Golodomor a few years ago, and it was undoubtedly cold-blooded genocide carried out by members of the educated middle-class, mostly Jewish, who could not get employment any other way than by facilitating and rationalizing the slaughter of their own countrymen, in the most efficient and calculating ways possible, on orders of Joseph Stalin. (Beware of people burdened with student loans.) But 1932-33 was eighty years ago now. The point is that Western plotters have orchestrated the chest-beating about this past tragedy until it has morphed into a political movement, and the past 20 years in the Ukraine have seen the country used like a pawn, with politicians taking bribes, etc., etc. The American bitch U.S. Secretary of State. Victoria Nuland, who said on a leaked (unencrypted) phone call "Fuck the EU", regarding the U.S. strategy to control whether or not opposition leaders in the Ukraine would be 'allowed' to join the cabinet of the present government and participate in running the country -- well, Angela Merkel called the obscene remark "absolutely unacceptable." The EU wants peace, not civil war, in the Ukraine. The Americans want another mess in that country, just like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Libya. Civil war. Death squads. Refugee camps. This is a statue of him as a younger man, holding a Holy Rosary, to honor him after his death. Bondarchuk was born in the Ukraine and somehow escaped, had no home, and so slept at the drama school in Moscow during the end of WWII. I expect some members of his family died in the starvation purge of Stalin. The Ukrainians will survive - always. And no, I am not Ukrainian and have no 'connection' except a spiritual one. |
