The next paragraph goes on to say "I located and spoke with [x] at her residence." , but it doesn't specify the date or time that interview occurred. By "they" she could have meant Hochsprung & Sherlach only, or Hochsprung, Sherlach and Hammond (doing the saving). I'm thinking that the idea of how many lives were saved, though, is probably a big one, i.e. she may mean the total number of lives saved was five. If that includes Hammond, then there were only 7 total people in the mtg. |

I only base my research on the official reports (I have a specific reason for doing this). Since names such as Diane Day, Beth Hegarty, Kris Feda, and Becky Virgalla don't appear in the reports, I can't confirm that they match any of the redacted names of those in Room 9 :) |

I remember the female dispatcher saying "They're are six of them" and thinking she (the dispatcher) was confused, that Hegarty had included herself when she said "I have five adults." I think Hegarty said "I have five aults" including herself, and the dispatcher assumed that she meant five adults in addition to herself. Could be wrong. |

That is reassuring, considering they were compiled independently of each other! But I am one short from my previous count of 7 or 8. I should have said 8 or 9. We have: 1. Dawn Hochsprung 2. Mary Sherlach. Plus the "initial interviews" (ie, unique persons): 3. Natalie Hammond (00256315.pdf) 4. (female) (00005524.pdf) 5. (female) (00006254.pdf) 6. (female) (00104089.pdf) 7. (female) (00260329.pdf) 8. (female) (00249481.pdf) If 00006299.pdf is an initial interview, then: 9. (female) (00006299.pdf) But if 00006299.pdf is an follow-up interview, then there's only 8. And, of course, there's the extra undead "Dawn" referenced by the ungendered person in 00039326.pdf, which is a follow-up interview. So potentially 10 people, but I won't go there :) |
