But then, the MSM probably thinks the moon is only a bit higher than airliners fly. |

ladyannie2009 User ID: 53571495 United States 02/17/2014 09:44 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Seems like every time they say a "rogue satellite" is falling, they also say there is an asteroid making a close pass. Makes you wonder if they don't expect something from that asteroid to crash into earth and are prepared to say it was the "rogue satellite". Just thinking out loud. It's almost NINE TIMES the distance from here to the moon. Interesting, but nothing of note. In fact, until a few years ago it most likely would have passed by unnoticed at all. "I have come to the conclusion that all news should be treated like 9/11, assume it is a psyop with actors participating in a staged event complete with props, until proven otherwise, in which case assume whatever is being recorded, reported, televised, is distortions/lying by omission/outright lies, until proven otherwise." - Anonymous, 4-13-12 |

Anonymous Coward (OP) User ID: 51311176 United States 02/17/2014 05:30 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Near-Earth asteroid 2000 EM26 poses no threat of actually hitting the planet, but the online Slooh Space Camera will track the asteroid as it passes by Earth on Monday. The live Slooh webcast will start at 9 p.m. ET (0200 Feb. 18 GMT), and you can also watch the webcast directly through the Slooh website. (You can participate in the broadcast by using the hashtag #asteroid to ask questions during the 2000 EM26 show.) You can also watch the asteroid broadcast live on Space.com. Scientists estimate that 2000 EM26 is about 885 feet (270 meters) in diameter, and it is whizzing through the solar system at a break-neck 27,000 mph (12.37km/s), according to Slooh. During its closest approach, the asteroid will fly about 8.8 lunar distances from Earth. [See photos of potentially dangerous asteroids] [link to www.nbcnews.com] |
