What I saw when I crashed a Wall Street secret society..... | |

No, it was just a group of friends who came together to roast each other in a benign and self-deprecating manner. Nothing to see here. But the extent of their worry wasn’t made clear until Ross offered himself up as a source for future stories in exchange for my cooperation. “I’ll pick up the phone anytime, get you any help you need,” he said. “Yeah, the people in this group could be very helpful,” Lebenthal chimed in. “If you could just keep their privacy in mind.” I wasn’t going to be bribed off my story, but I understood their panic. Here, after all, was a group that included many of the executives whose firms had collectively wrecked the global economy in 2008 and 2009. And they were laughing off the entire disaster in private, as if it were a long-forgotten lark. (Or worse, sing about it — one of the last skits of the night was a self-congratulatory parody of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” called “Bailout King.”) These were activities that amounted to a gigantic middle finger to Main Street and that, if made public, could end careers and damage very public reputations..." Pretty interesting report. 7/11 was a part time job! Psalm 35:19 Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. |

"reassured me that what I’d just seen wasn’t really a group of wealthy and powerful financiers making homophobic jokes, making light of the financial crisis, and bragging about their business conquests at Main Street’s expense" Riiiiiight. Good to know that the journalist kept his oath and went through with that article instead of taking the offer. |
Free Planet User ID: 46288210 United Kingdom 02/18/2014 02:50 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | this is looking like a (my uncle said) hit piece, but I'll bite. "If all the old reckless bankers were retired, today, newer more reckless bankers would move into their roles, tomorrow." Finance is nothing more than an empire-building game, a Global Gambling Game, with an arbitrary (and extremely contradictory) ruleset. Oh, sounds like I'm talking about The Bible now, LOL. I'm not, I'm talking about the very serious business of PROFIT via PATENT PROTECTION SERVICES, and the acquisition of ASSET i.e. You The People, as collateral in all sorts of 'moves on the chess board'. ;) My point being, "Change the GAME, i.e. Free Planet!" |

Informed1 (OP) User ID: 29641188 United States 02/18/2014 04:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Hey OP, do you have any insight into why all the Bankers are being suicided ? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 41690613 The nail gun one was a real stretch. Undoubtedly, it has to do with the siphoning off of billions of dollars from the American (and global) markets. These suicided bankers were either complacent in the theft and were taken out because of what they knew or they discovered how it was done and were a threat to the establishment. Just a guess, but it adds up with all that has been going on and their MO. |
