It must be humiliating to the few western Europeans who still have some since of cultural and national pride: Economic serfs to the Western central bankers; military lapdogs to the bankers police force, the US military.

Russia just has to turn off the gas for a week during January and much of Europe will be on their knees. EU is powerless, run by career bureaucrats with no stomach for a fight.

Spend the whole day in Novoazovsk. Rebels friendly, many Russian volunteers, but no regular army spotted. Town itself a quiet breeze.

EU is forced to pick up the slack from the US when it comes to western confrontation. Remember when Obama said that Russia should wait until after elections for more US flexibility? That was stupid only because it was already understood and didn't need to be said.

Now we see the same principle applied in reverse. The US elections coming in early November with control of both houses of Congress and the resulting spoils are at stake. Both parties are somewhat frozen even though it SEEMS there is general consensus on Ukraine. Neither wants to invite a voter backlash and will only play to their own constituency right now.

Russia has a timeline to accomplish its goals before the election at which time the US MIC can really take off the gloves. Russia needs a fait accompli before then. My take anyway.

Regards your low-level trolling post above, have you ever heard of European Elections or you still blocked at 2002? I think in Europe we go to vote many many many times more than US. Remember we are states, before EU members, while you are pretty pointless "states" ruled by a President/King who likes sign laws and wear white tan so its people can discuss about.
To conclude, here is a list of votes we have:

-Head of Italian city council and its assembly
-Head of Italian districts and its assembly
-Head of Italian regions and its assembly
-Italian Parliament, two chambers.
-Italian PM, leader of the party/coalitions who wins the Parliament elections
-European Parliament
-Referendum every time are needed (usually 1-2 every 5-7 years)

And probably in some time we will elect even the Italian President of the Repubblic, who has no power but it still an important symbolic istitution.

This sub-topic is not about Russia. It's about who's controlling the West and wants to control more and, as a result, why Ukraine is even happening.

If you live in the West and are happy with where things are headed there, good. If not, Russia's not the one changing things around you. It's the people who have their sites set right now on Russia.

THIS is going to be very interesting. If NAF can take the city without shelling and killing civilians it will demonstrate a real difference and show what can be done when the operation actually has the support of the local population. Remember that the line from Kiev supporters that the civilian casualties are simply inevitable collateral damage from an "anti-terrorist" operation. Maybe we will see who the real terrorists have been all along.

Earlier today I read info about preparation operation with local rebels in Mariupol. Seems like town will be taken from inside mainly. And maybe from Azov sea. As far as I know in mariupol is around 3k Banderistan gunmen so we will see what will come next...
