No, it's not. And Germany even outright said so a few months ago. Well, the Vice Chancellor and minister for energy and economy said that. It went something along these lines: "Uh, guys? We have absolutely no idea how the EU could become less independent on Russian gas and oil in the short run and we don't think there actually is a way..."

I mean, you realize the G7 (formerly G8 before they threw Russia out in a fit of childish pique) energy ministers met sometime back in may, realized they had no concrete ideas on how to become less dependent, and realized they also had no idea what an emergency plan for some countries should look like in case they would have to miss out on Russian gas this winter. Well, at least they realized they need an emergency plan...
They then gave themselves six more months to think about.
... yes, by all means, let's talk about this again in december. .......... jeez....
But hey, at least they all admitted the truth, which is that it will take years in order to not be hugely dependent on Russian gas anymore.

By the way, Putin was quite amused about it last year (apparently Germany already said back then that it wanted less gas from Russia), he said something like "you don't want our gas, you don't want nuclear energy anymore... I'm wondering what are you going to use for heat? Wood? Well, the only (European) place that has enough is Siberia..." then he chuckled. It seems he is quite confident the EU needs Russia. It seems the EU appears to agree for now. So yes, come winter quite a lot of us are going to be freezing if our idiot leaders don't get it together and stop following the US around like a poodle.

A realistic simulation of a war between Russia and Ukraine that lasts from 2014-2016. Western forces eventually get involved but later withdraw and Russia is victorious.

This was part of the Gazprom/China deal, along with Su35s. That is everything China has been after for years. They want the Sukoi engine tech. Consequently, Russia has no more leverage with China.

Very childish simulation to say the least. Totally disengaged from reality and world around Ukraine and Russia. There is also the rest of globe you know. There is Middle East you know, Isreal you know.

Trust? I'd rather use my own brain, thanks. Anyway, the "we should stop following the USA around like a poodle" is a crazy common narrative in Germany. Perhaps that's why I reminded you of your sister-in-law? The truth is you will be hardpressed to find many German people under forty or so who won't say "I've had it with the USA, that bully". That is also mirrored in our MSM, who usually bash the USA a lot...
The thing is it's not a choice between "west bad - Putin good" or "west good - Putin bad". I don't have to like Putin in order to ciriticize the west's role in this. People tend to think "loyalty before conscience"... well, no thanks. Why do people think "you're either on our side or on theirs"? And if you are on ours, you must believe everything we say and not question us? Otherwise you are a friend of "the other side"? I'm not automatically on someone's side by way of being born in their territory. I'm on MY side, and that side is saying "use your brain and listen to your conscience", not "loyalty before all else".

I don't blame you for criticizing our government. I think the Russians are as corrupt as our politicians are. I frankly don't really trust former KGB people. Sometimes you just have to take people for their word so maybe Putin is pure as snow. The simulation is only about Ukraine/Russia and not global.

Remember he published this video in April and his timing is only out by about a month and Belarus hasn't entered the theatre - yet.

It was also assumed that Russia would enter straight away and that's probably why his timing of events is a little bit off.

For someone who is so 'childish' he has so far done pretty well with his predictions.

If you knew anything you would know that Belarus is NOT like Ukraine. If there ever was a country on earth that should not exist, it would be Belarus.
