There is nothing newsworthy about it, except that this sycophant war-monger is stirring shit for no reason. But in the end he does not make any decision (i.e., does not have the power) to start war. It's nothing like Cuban Missile Crisis.
By the way, if you want to know how incompetent is NATO: Rasmussen was "completely sure", "without a doubt", that "Saddam" had "bio-weapons", nuclear weapons and "terrorist connections". He spoke of dangers of Iraq using chemical weapons against Danish cities.
Of course he was 100% "wrong" (I put in quotes because I am not sure he was wrong, rather I think he lied, but I give him benefit of some doubt). Now as a result of his "mistake", hundreds of billions of dollars were wasted, a million people died, millions of people fled as refugees, a country was largely destroyed, countless people have suffered life-long debilitating injuries.
And what does he get? A promotion! That is how the "West" works - failures, morons, sycophants, mass-murderers like Rasmussen get promoted, and the good people, nobody wants them. They get to pay his undeserved salary. The man should be in prison for the rest of his life, not running NATO, with all his war-mongering going on and on and on.
And what's most funny is that countless idiots even on this thread - where one would hope people would have their eyes open just a little - believe what he says, and this even when he provides no evidence of something for which there should be lots and lots of evidence.
It boggles the mind.
