Yeah, my friend was visiting me and we were speaking a lot about the situation in Ukraine and he pointed me to this thread. I thought it was interesting and joined (the conversation, not as a member), made a few posts, and was banned. Ended up creating an account to circumvent the ban. But yeah, I joined GLP specifically for this thread, because I wanted to discuss the Ukraine situation with other interested people and this seemed like a good place to do it.

Maybe I was wrong, so many haters on here ....

And really nobody in their right mind would pay someone to put the kind of time I have into this and post on freaking GLP. With all the original writing I am doing, I would at least have a blog, if not a whole website. Get a grip on reality!

But I will candidly admit, part of the reason I am spending so much time on this is that I am considering starting a website for political analysis of the NWO. Spending a lot of time here and researching issues is a sort of "trial run" to see if I would enjoy doing that. And, for what it's worth, no, nobody is funding me to do it, but if you know someone who would pay for advertising on an anti-NWO site, do feel free to private message me!

I'm not able to come to the conclusion that Sun_dancer is a shill. It's quite possible he is just passionate about his point of view. And anyway this is a conspiracy site. Surely it would be easier to find people who were opposed to the MSM explanation than for it?

No one has said they are hiding. You deny reports without refuting them. Absence of evidence that you would accept is hardly good evidence of absence. These are straw man arguments. You can't just pick out the most extreme report from the most biased source to dismiss the whole subject. "Poised for invasion" is a phrase about intentions which we can agree that no one knows. Most of what you post is reasoned but this isn't.

The Russian statements have actually been very careful and qualified on this subject. If it were really a complete fabrication why wouldn't they say so? The truth is more evasive. The Russians deny intent, not the presence or absence of troops in specific numbers at specific distances from the border.

You are ridiculing without knowledge and the meaning of various characterizations of the facts can be as elusive as the meaning of "economic coercion" as a technical term. The truth is elusive here but the fact that this subject isn't being dismissed out of hand by the other side means it hardly falls into the Santa Claus or the tooth fairy category.

Sun Dancer is not a shill. He is just heavily invested in the notion that Russia occupies the high moral ground in this dispute. I believe that that is old news. Now that the war game is playing out there are no rules on either side. Even the innocent eventually find the capacity to rise above principle. Neither side is that innocent now that it is game on. I find it fascinating. Like seeing a slow motion train wreck or watching a snake uncoil.

An unprecedented wave of anti-Russian propaganda has dominated the German media in the wake of the US- and German-backed coup in Kiev. Leading publications such as Der Spiegel, Die Zeit, Süddeutsche Zeitun g and Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, but also so-called “alternative” media outlets such as the taz (which has close links to the Greens) are loudly demanding military action against Russia, outdoing one another with menacing attacks on Russian President Vladimir Putin who they describe as a new Hitler and aggressor.

This propaganda campaign, reminiscent of the conformist press of totalitarian dictatorships, has so far had a limited effect. Many readers are repulsed by the campaign and have responded angrily. This is reflected in the letters pages of newspaper and online comment pages.
