Re: What I saw when I crashed a wall Street secret society
You people are hilarious. Its not a secret society, the idiot journalist just waltzed passed a SIGN IN DESK that apparently wasn't even being watched by anyone.

These joke fraternities are common in many areas of life. The masons have the shriners, for example, their "joke" counterpart.

I know you all so badly want to hate everyone who has more money than you, but if you'd stop frothing at the mouth in a populist rage for just one minute...

Not that I relish defending these devils, but let me just advocate for the notion that these are not public officials exactly and this was a private (albeit weirdo to the max) shindig.

Do they not deserve any privacy even if they are scum. I am sure many of us can relate to the many assaults on freedom and civil rights that have occurred in recent years. If this kind of "journalism" is acceptable, doesn't it seem to justify the kinds of abuses we find objectionable when it is the government or corporations that intrude on our privacy.

Just a thought.

Do we really need to spy on these individuals to know the nature of these wall street titans who have been shafting the vast majority of our citizens for decades.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 35602178

These are people who have beggared millions, yet mock us and show no remorse.

Let them feel a little angst and embarrassment!

Kudos for brave journalists. Too few of them left. Surprised the author has survived so far. Probably only because he made the info mainstream.

satan raising his house of cards is not hilarious, both God and satan are laughing at the human races descent into idolatry, fetishism and self/sex worship, but thats because they trusted idols, trusted that which is human.

Does anyone notice how many "secret society" type groups use men dressed in drag as a staple of their rituals?

Yet... no one dares to ask why that is done by multiple groups, from multiple back grounds.

The saddest part is the banksters are enabled by the 99%.

How many here bank with one of the mega banks? You are the problem!

How many contribute to a 401K? You are the problem!

How many do not possess a single silver coin? You are the problem!

Your continuation and participation in the system allows this behavior. most are waiting for some protector or a law that will change this.

Never. gonna. happen.

take matters into your own hands

Not really rituals. I think this is a way to express their misogynism (the young women who are present there dont see it like i do but ok), and a way to humiliate the new members and tie them to the secrecy of the group.
And probably all the other rituals have the same reasons.
Nothing to do with devil worship, power sexual rituals and such, it is a way to blackmail you later in case you want to leave or reveal anything about the society.

The guest list would be lead to a line of dark dominoes falling in a hundred different directions for a good investigator. Ask yourself a serious question. Would you want any of these people handling your investment and retirement portfolios? It really doesn't matter if you answer yes or no because they are involved at some level. Do they have your best interest at heart? It appears to me that they fiddle in the shadows while Rome burns.

The type of ceremony has similiarities to the grove. Its got an old boys club type flavor where u have to join and participate, or be on the outside of the click. Fin. workers outside this group wouldnt have the advantages that the members do!

Re: What I saw when I crashed a wall Street secret society
One of the greatest misconceptions or fallacies of this article was this...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
""
many of these self-righteous Kappa Beta Phi members had surely been first-year bankers once. And in the 20, 30, or 40 years since, something fundamental about them had changed. Their pursuit of money and power had removed them from the larger world to the sad extent that, now, in the primes of their careers, the only people with whom they could be truly themselves were a handful of other prominent financiers.
""
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

These Vermin do not start at the bottom and work their way up the ladder.

It is NOT through hard work and perseverance that they are where they are.

It was careful "Darwinian Selection","Recruitment", "Hand-Picking" by Senior Members at their corporations.

This is a conscious effort by the lead Sociopath, to Darwinian Select the most effective Psychopaths amongst its subordinates.

These "pets" are carefully groomed and trained by the lead malignant to be as clever, potent, and toxic as possible, without getting caught.

How many of YOU have EVER seen ANYONE, gain favoritism in a corporate environment that had "Earned" it through "hard work", or "perseverance"?

Sure there is maybe a statistical 1% or so that do, but not many?

Re: What I saw when I crashed a wall Street secret society
Ha ha! Now they're being laughed at by their own kind.

They made it to the Wall Street Journal, lmao. How ARE they going to live this down? Oh that's right, they don't have consciences....

"We’re at a funny point in our political culture. To have judgment is to be an elitist. To have dignity is to be yesterday. To have standards is to be a hypocrite—you won’t always meet standards even when they’re your own, so why have them?

* * *

I wonder if the titans of Wall Street understand how they look in this ( [link to nymag.com] ).

At least they tried to keep it secret. That was good of them!

They are America’s putative great business leaders. They are laughing, singing, drinking, posing in drag and acting out skits. The skits make fun of their greed and cynicism. In doing this they declare and make clear, just in case you had any doubts, that they are greedy and cynical.

All of this is supposed to be merry, high-jinksy, unpretentious, wickedly self-spoofing. But it seems more self-exposing, doesn’t it?

And all of it feels so decadent."
