Message Subject *FAKE HARD BREAST IMPLANTS* Why do women do this to themselves?

The technology can be a Godsend to a flat chested woman who's uncomfortable with her body.

However, there are certain norms that are considered "natural" and others that do not occur in nature. The problem is that often times thin petite women who have little or no body fat or curves will insist on huge and obvious implants. These things generally enter a room about five minutes before their owner trails along behind as an afterthought...

And it's not pretty.

I run a surgery center and see a lot of women come in asking for this hideous type of implant. My surgeons discourage it totally. But there comes a point where a patient insists - and you're stuck with a choice of doing it, or having her go elsewhere and get it done probably not as well .

It's also common for women to put the first set in too small, then want more, change them out in a secondary procedure and then over size them. Usually by the third time round they've figured out what looks realistic and believable and they settle for that. However, some never do. Pamella Anderson and Raquell Welch both have had over a dozen different sets in different sizes, types, and shapes. And they're not the only celebs who've done so, not by a long shot!

There is a lot of technical skill and knowlege out there in the field of plastic surgery. The problem is that there is often not much taste on the part of a patient or in some cases, on the part of a surgeon either. I mean someone worked on Michael Jackson until he looked like a monstrous little monkey. Not quite simian and not quite human any longer. So often times the surgeon doesn't have the balls to say "hell no! That would look absurd on you and I'm not going to be a party to disfiguring you!" IN the business we refer to those guys as greedy bastards who simply "cut for the cash" and don't give a shit about the patients long term outcome. Unfortunately they exist.

If you are female and thinking about augmentation, the rule is to size the implant to your body type and shape. A woman who's from southern Europe or the meditarianian area can get away with large breasts. They have the curves and the body type to carry it off. A little Asian woman cannot pull off a 38DD no matter how she tries. Hell many times they don't even have enough skin to allow them to be placed properly and their tight skin stretches and leaves them with stretch marks in an effort to accomodate too large an implant. It's a pity that more doctors can't or don't dare tell women that what they ask for is going to be hideous. But then these same docs collect additional fees for changing them out several times, too. And they don't get less costly with secondary or subsequent surgery. They actually tend to become more costly because the procedure is more difficult due to scar tissue and excess or stretched skin.

If you think this is bad, you should see some of the male pec implants I've seen walking around NYC lately! They're even worse!

What happened to "good taste"??? Is it a totally arcane ideal?
