While this didn't answer my question, I see later in the thread that you quoted Amelia.

My take on her lyrics - means nothing more than what it says. She was driving and saw planes flying across the sky leaving contrails reflecting on how they reminded her of the strings on her guitar.

Now, if you were to follow the information from Dave McGowan, and if you were to believe that the hippie movement was all orchestrated by a certain type of institute, and how he pointed out that most all the Laurel Canyon bands of the time had parents with backgrounds in the CIA and Military, citing Joni Mitchell among them...then yes she might have some pre-knowledge of chemtrails. Personally I don't think so. The lyrics seem quite clear to me.

Today I watched two planes flying next to each other and one laid down a chemtrail and the other had a contrail.

Chemtrails aren't a conspiracy. not in my opinion, they are as plain as day and real, maybe the truth as to why is hidden but seeing them is no guessing game.

1) the two aircraft were probably 7 miles at a minimum from you if not much more distance . . . with two objects that far away you can never be sure based on their perceived sizes which is higher than the other and thus two or three thousand feet separation would not be observable . . .

2) The temperatures vary several degrees normally within a few thousand feet . . . The minimum temperature persistent contrails will form is -41C . . . one aircraft could have easily been in a layer colder and more humid than the other . . .

3) By regulation aviation cannot fly at the same altitude when in the vicinity of other traffic . . . they had to be at least 1,000 feet in elevation apart . . . also jet engine vortices from a lead aircraft can stall engines in a following aircraft so this is avoided for safety reasons . . .

4) lastly, engines efficiencies can alter contrail visibility see below . . . read the text at the third blue arrow below . . .,

Not really . . . I have always entertained the possibility that geoengineering (not persistent contrails) could be ongoing in some very complex, impossible to detect fashion . . . and so had sympathy to those who also questioned the whole issue around injection of substances into the atmosphere . . . however, after researching since 2009 I have found no convincing evidence that any such program exists at any level . . .

PS . . . I did also think that the regulatory people and aircraft industry had been remiss in not mitigating persistent contrails and felt it could be either an intentional or unintentional opportunity to use the atmosphere to study contrails and global warming affects . . .

I would like to address something that I think is important . . . much of my debates, comments and discussions until recently were basically entertainment . . . more or less a mental game of logic and persuasion played out in public Forums with equally capable participants also interested in speculation and the game of winning for their side of any chosen debate . . .

I had no real thought that these debates/discussions were being played out on a worldwide stage . . . . I still find it hard to rap my head around!!! So the ramifications of our Postings are possibly more influential and far reaching than we may have imagined. Not that any of us think someone would seriously listen to our arguments, internalize them and base some significant life changing decision or act on . . . but this is not an isolated debate within the confines of a corporate board room, lecture hall, or cocktail party . . . this is for the whole world to see . . .

Because of this realization I have concluded . . . I/we need to be careful in what we say, how we say it and the motivations behind them . . . I am not talking about being paranoid or censorship . . I am talking about owning what we say (understanding their reach goes far beyond our little group here or any Forum) so we wouldn't be ashamed of them being dredged up and repeated in front of us for the whole world to judge . . . sorry for the rambling . . .
