Social Security Disability Fund Running Out Of Money, Is It Due To Fraud?

Ok so you see the problem, what have You done to fix it?

Most of the disabled are just fat people with bad backs and knees plus the related diseases who don't know how to eat a healthy diet.

"Fat taxes" on the junk foods and soft drinks should be levied and pay into the disability fund. The disability funds should not just be coming from payroll taxes on honest, hardworking people who know how to take care of themselves.

perhaps those people are psychologically disabled? it is not just about "physical" disability and it sounds to me like these people are unstable if they go around talking like that....some people are not right in the head.

Of course it is due to fraud and also mismanagement. The govt. borrows from these funds to fund their pet projects and kickbacks. I am not looking forward to the fight over this one. There will have to be a bail out of this fund. But I also feel that by the end of 2014 the USA will be on its knees in a financial crisis.

Time is very short. Everyone needs to prepare for the inevitable.

My great nephew has been on SSI for several years. He was born moderately mentally retarded. He functions at a level of a 6 year old, and has great difficulty speaking, and being understood. He will never be able to live on his own, or do most things that a lot of us take for granted. He turned 18 in December, and is still in school. SSI is trying to boot him off. He has to go for re-evaluations this week, and it doesn't look good for him to stay on. Disability, both SSI and SSD, have been kicking people off, or denying benefits to those that are severely disabled, and under age 50. According to a lawyer I know that handles these cases, Downs Syndrome clients, and even severe diabetics who are amputees and wheelchair bound, have been denied, or booted off.

I must disagree. You can't steal NOTHING. Paper "money" and computer "money" are not REAL. They are NOTHING. Where is the crime?

But they gathered the Social Security account numbers, pooled them together and make out like the State is "funding" you disability.

Now that he is 18 it changes the rules.He was drawing child benefits and will now have to approved as an adult.Child benefits and adult benefits have different rules and guidelines.This happens to every child at 18 that gets benefits.Sounds like he should be approved as an adult.You may get denied the first time but if so gather all medical records and appeal.If he has been drawing this long he will probably continue on the first try.

But this amount has been taken from us.

We are in our 60's, retired, fixed income. I have serious health issues, and my husband has emphysema. My oldest daughter, who is disabled also, lives with us, and we support her. She does not get SSI or SSD. I can only do so much. I am taking my nephew to one of his appointments on tuesday, and help out my sister-in-law when I can.

My mom's ex-husband (aka The Boob) got SSD after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Now, I could understand that if he'd been a gigolo, but The Boob was still running, golfing, and could bench 200 easily. Still, he pulled it off. We should have turned him in for fraud but that would mean he would go back to leeching off my mother, who had divorced The Boob but still let him hang around.

I am praying for this to be in his favor.

Thats the issue I see with most people.They only complain when they see the person out doing something.A lot of times an illness that prevents someone from working isnt constant.
Many can walk some or ride a bike some,etc but can not hold a job and be relied to be able to make it to a job each day.

A case that comes to mind was and man in his late 50s that was on disability that would take walks with his dog,etc.A lot of people said nothing was wrong with him.He had medical conditions not seen and died in his home alone.Was almost two weeks before he was found.No one noticed him not doing something but noticed when he did.Then a lady in the news interview stated he was well liked,he will be really missed...sure he will, poor man dead over a week and no one noticed he hadnt walked down the street.But man he didnt deserve that disability check..

Further note...Healthcare, food, electricity, water are benefits for Businesses , NOT real people.

Anything that is required to sustain life is a birthright (use common sense)

But if these necessities are a birthright, why do they call them benefits?

Simple....
When they capitalize our name on their computer generated documents, we automatically appear as a trade or Business (a company that receives income/profits).

Why?

Because capitalizing each letter in our name, on paper, seperates the real/natural individual from a 'trade name'.

We appear as a business that only exists on paper (unless you really do own a Business).

And because we appear as a Business, likewise, we are being billed/tax just like a Business.

Income is profit, it is value received for Businsses.

(but they refer to our paycheck we create from our labor as income because we also appear as a business on paper.)

And because on paper, we appear as a Business that receives income (profits), we also appear to receive "benefits" instead of a birthright.

Trade name example:
JANE DOE (capitalized) = trade name.
Jane Doe (initialized) = natural name.

Once you understand this, you will see most articles being put in the news, as mockery.

Back pain, siaticia, buldging disc, chronic headaches, carpel tunnel. Yes some of those things can hurt and minimize functionality but not to the extent of a serious disability rating, they need job retraining and replacement in their current field. so true. good days or days where you push yourself bc you hv to and then it takes some days to recuperate. people who hv never been around or hv had a debilitating illness, will not get it if they are lacking in empathy.

You are very correct, and I agree 100 percent, they all deserve to die, myself included, which is going to happen sooner or later for all of us. The system is a wreck it divides us and allows us to make the poorest of social decisions by default, and for that humanity has failed yet again after however many tens of thousands or hundreds of thousands of years of our existence, we suck at everything over and over and over again. Except for kindness and random acts of love as previously discussed by another AC post, which occur not nearly enough to justify our existence, until we rise up and grow up and take charge of our social responsibility.
