A US air strike in Syria seems more likely today after the outbreak of the Ukrainian crisis with the ensuing likelihood of Russia exchanging Syria for Ukraine, wrote Oraib Al Rantawi in yesterday’s edition of the Jordan-based newspaper ­Addustour.

I do not have intel, but I believe it will be Ukraine going up against Russia. I do not think Russia will take Kiev and I believe the country will be split in half.

With the boots on the ground, I don't know if Crimea counts as the boots on the ground, or if truely boots on the ground means invading eastern Ukraine. I would say either way we are close and the next few weeks will be interesting...
