It's definitely an act of nature but it could be partially mitigated by draining Yellowstone lake which is a fairly easy engineering task. If the lake water hits the magma in the magma chamber it's going to be really UGLY. Otherwise, it would be epic but survivable for some.

Under normal circumstances I would tend to agree with you. However the government is gearing up for something. And I know we have conspiracy. Series left and right. But the government knows something, I think everyone can kind of feel that right now.

It could be an economic collapse is coming which honestly is probably the case. But if Yellowstone was on the verge of eruption, I doubt very seriously if the government would tell us about it. At least until they had no choice and it was in our face. I think that there would be a lot of precursors and possibly some venting and other things prior to a major eruption.

But to your point, if this thing were to blow the devastation would be ungodly. The amount of refugees would be staggering. It will be something was up with the likes that we have never seen in recorded history.

I'm not saying that it is going to blow, but I do believe that there is a distinct possibility that it very well could. Especially with the helium 4 levels rising.
