WWIII I just do not trust it for some reason, I am not an expert on symbolism, I do know quite a bit though. But all the news agencies are making it seem like they are "Pulling a Joke". I think there is more to this than what meets the Eye. Maybe I am wrong, but jokes don't happen during the Olympic closing ceremonies. START DIGGING. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 18795685 Thread: Banksy poster from 2012 fortells missing Olympic ring? The Olympic rings represents Europe, Asia, Africa America and Oceania continents. Each colour corresponded to a particular continent with blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black for Africa, green for Oceania and red for America. The rings were adopted by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, founder of the modern Olympic Movement in 1913. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13764844 and it's the red ring that didn't work / was stolen in Banksy's poster, and missing on Nelson's t-shirt. also, the song played when the flame was being lit was 'the game has changed' from tron. comeon glp, this is interesting at least !! |

ASH grey! an OBVIOUS aesthetic decision by the producer of it. it is MEANT to be viewed from above, so WHY make the USA ring first explode, then be ash grey? hmm? |

WWIII I often laugh at what glp'ers try to interpret into things, but this is a bit weird. too many coincidences. when I saw the ring malfunction live, I just thought: ohh russians.... but with the song 'the game has changed' and them now repeating it, it does seem like a message to the us. hmmmm... |

Something is going on, the Elites use global symbolism to relay messages as well as to mock the knowledge and dumbness of the people. This is NOT just a joke. If it was, it would be the first time in an Olympic opening or closing ceremony. I highly doubt the Russian Government would allow a "Mishap" if it really was, in the opening ceremony, return as a joke in the closing ceremony. |

I have to say, on the other hand, they apparently didn't broadcast that 'mishap' on Russain tv. so if it was a message, why not show it to their own people? but yes, very curious. |

WWIII Yep. It was no accident... And no coincidence that it's the American ring. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54496889 What do you mean the American ring? Prior to 1951, the official handbook stated that each color corresponded to a particular continent: blue for Europe, yellow for Asia, black for Africa, green for Australia and Oceania and red for the Americas; [link to en.wikipedia.org] |

WWIII It is saying, That's Russia and China on the east, they will surprise the western union. That is the red ring. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 52945157 Or it is just an inside joke to frazzle the technicians nerves. and by 'surprise', you mean what? nukes? i think quite a few of our nuke subs would have something to say about that every fucking ring there would be ash grey |
