A low dose of Naltrexon can suppress the symptoms.
Quoting: Spruit 30255470 Yes I have read about this and discussed this with my doctor.
She said she neverr heard of it.
Beats steroids and chemo but like hou said still a suppression of symptoms though.
Quoting: Anonymous Coward 50309076 LDN doesn't suppress symptoms. It modulates your immune response.
It was first given as a drug to block opioid receptors to help alcoholics and drug users stop using by diminishing the effect of drugs, etc.
When the 50 mg dose was discovered to cause symptoms like insomnia, the dose was lowered and eventually it was discovered that people on approx. 4 mg were showing improvement in other areas, related to immune.
It was discovered that low dose naltrexone blocked production of endorphins at night, causing the body to over compensate by producing extra endorphins, which causes the immune system to become regulated in a more normal direction.
I take it in pulsed doses, because although it does work, it gives me mild insomnia.
So I take 3 mg and skip a night or two, then repeat.
Some people are different, and the average dose is 4.5 mg.
