The plunge in the Australian dollar to the mid-US60¢ would come about if the Reserve Bank keeps interest rates on hold until 2016, if the US lifts its rates by mid-2015 and if the United States' dollar continues to strengthen, Deutsche Bank's chief economist for Australia Adam Boyton said. The forecast would see the exchange rate fall to its lowest levels since the financial crisis. The currency was fetching US89.60¢ in late trade on Monday, and has so far risen 0.5 per cent against the US dollar this year. It shed more than 14 per cent of its value against the US currency last year. Funny that... as the USA will no longer exist and will become "The North American Union" by that time composed of Canada, America and Mexico... remember Bush signing it in 2005 and the Amero being created!!! Best of luck to all of us... |

(And there coming housing collapse - just started?). see this article....... Canada’s government recently made an abrupt decision that could have repercussions for Australia’s already overvalued residential property market. Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty on February 11 announced that a 28-year-old visa scheme designed to attract wealthy foreigners to the country would be axed, effective immediately. Under the now defunct Immigrant Investor Program, as long as you had a cool $C1.6 million ($1.6 million) in net assets, then all you needed to do was lend the Canadian government $C800,000 for five years on an interest-free basis and you were assured permanent residency for you and your family and a fast-track to citizenship. The decision raised some eyebrows, not least because preceding the decision there had been growing chatter that the country’s already expensive housing market was being inflated even further by a wave of wealthy Chinese entrants into the country, and in Vancouver in particular. Advertisement At the time the immigration scheme was axed, there was a backlog of 65,000 applicants, of which 45,500 were mainland Chinese – and 80 per cent of those were bound for the province of British Columbia, according to analysis by the South China Morning Post. Indeed, The Economist rates Canada’s residential property market as one of the world’s most expensive. The magazine’s analysts say housing is 76 per cent overvalued against long-term averages on a rental basis – the highest among the 23-country league table – and 31 per cent against disposable incomes. Exporters, Farmers and Manufacturers all get more money. They then employ more people. Other businesses start exporting again. They then employ more people. Aussies stop spending tourist dollars overseas, and start spending it within Australia at tourist destinations. More businesses spring up and employ more people to cater to the demand. More tourists will come to Australia in droves from overseas, coz it will be so cheap here to get around. Everyone who has good real-estate in cities on the market, will sell at asking prices to overseas buyers. |

AND SO IS THIS Other businesses start exporting again. AND THIS They then employ more people. AND THIS ALSO Aussies stop spending tourist dollars overseas, and start spending it within Australia at tourist destinations. AND THIS More businesses spring up and employ more people to cater to the demand. QUESTIONABLE More tourists will come to Australia in droves from overseas, coz it will be so cheap here to get around. DON'T BET ON IT Everyone who has good real-estate in cities on the market, will sell at asking prices to overseas buyers. The only reason America isn't in flames is fracking. If it wasn't for the perceived safety of treasuries... Hahaha 17 trillion in unpayable debt. Hahaha Sorry, I can't say that with a straight face. When the American government defaults on it's debt emerging markets will rise by heaps. Some crackpots think that a massive devaluation will happen and Gold and the Dong will skyrocket. But I'm betting on a currency deflation (strengthening) that will make money worth more. Both Dollars, the Euro, the Yuan and the Yen as well as the Aussie dollar too. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 44130994 Australia 02/24/2014 07:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Well I would say the ozzy is worth about 30 cents in reality to a US dollar which should be worth about 50 cents... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 54792943 all the money is now monopoly money, numbers on a screen one of the only true wealth remaining on earth is the gold held in vaults by the rothschilds. and other minerals. and their military you could say is valuable, as it protects their empire any leader of any country who tries to change the rothschilds now fake monopoloy money into a real dollar that has real value.. conveniently becomes a terrorist and a threat to 'free' lmfao western society is Lynn actually for real with her "inclusive capitalism", or are they genuinely taking the piss? .. because james goldsmith clearly knew what "they" were about to do with global FTA's and didn't agree with it... gee, I wonder why, maybe he thought he will better keep his throne by owning 'happy they don't know any better yet slaves' rather than 'wandering lost and beginning to question their existance slaves' I will school Dr Phil's personal psychologist. you really have no clue.. so someone just tell me are the bluebloods trying to destroy western society on purpose, just as james goldsmith genuinely feared would backfire, or do you actually think you can turn us all into $2 / day peasants like chinese and Indians (Lynn loves her Indians most) and we will all just roll with that after being fooled we live in a 'democracy' ?? which one is it??????????????????????? |
