Quoting: Blonde Mom It struck me last evening while watching the closing ceremonies how superficial, and decadent American pop culture is. America has no culture of it's own that is not marketing. Usually when Americans want to show their history, they display the Native American Indian. Of course they don't show what the invaders did to the Indians. Or they show pioneering families or Cowboys. American culture is buying, consuming and producing garbage. Making war. The Americans today are not the original Americans. The Jews of today are not the original biblical jews. Most cultures are only a weak reflection of what they once were and it will only become more confused down the road until our histories are only legends. Then they will rewrite the history books and give us another story. |
